Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Yeah, that's my only real negative right now. If the boomer population has a massive die off from this, then the real estate market will be fucked and property would be dirt cheap. (Aka buying now would be a mistake.)

However, 0% interest rates is one of those once in a lifetime type things. In the market survives it's really tempting for anyone making large purchases like a house.
Start the process and continue until they ask for cash from you then make the call.

Reactions: Bob's Fuckass Head
The electric and gas company in California made announcements claiming they won't be disconnecting people in the state if they're unable to pay the bills because of the Coronavirus. I'm wondering if this is happening in other states in the USA.

I got an announcement saying the same here in Nevada. I wouldn't be surprised if most all of them are doing it.

UK Daily Figures:

40,279 tested (+2533)

1,372 positive (+230)

35 Dead.

So right now that's a 3% positive test rate and a 2.5% death rate. I've got no plausible way to extrapolate the population infection/death rate so I won't try.

Need to ban Washington, California, and New York.

At some point, I suspect it will become clear that the Democrat voting urban/coastal parts of the country have a higher infection rate than the Republican voting rural/inland parts. And that will set up a very interesting dilemma. If Trump quarantines them he'll be accused of targeting them because they are Democrat voting, not because of the higher infection rate and there will be a huge shitstorm from the usual media idiots.

ABSOLUTELY.
Could not have said it better myself.
Just to add, the best thing you can do, actually, is allow yourself to work from home (if possible) and putter around the house and clean up. But don't move around a lot. Like driving around town, panic buying, and organizing and stocking your supplies, and trying to think of every contingency. Meanwhile a fight breaks out with the spouse about managing money, and the kids are all over the place ..,,

You are exhausting yourself and burning a lot of calories in the process.
The house is getting an enema this week. I will not spend weeks staring at last winter's dirt.

Because your probability of getting rioted to death by a horde of people starving due to supply chain disruption goes up drastically if things break down. That british panic years back was all of what, a week without gas? If the chains of food, shit scrip, and the like disappear from shelves then people will have to find those somewhere, and for some of us in shittier places that could very well mean our kitchen. If you have a good community around you, panic can be fine and mitigated, but if you are in a place that's urban and isolationist even in a street block, it can get spooky real quick.

Not to mention people going out of work, out of money, and out of drugs. We have a society that uses all kinds of vices to keep the peace. If we see any pinch show up in drugs, drinks, or food the peasants get grumpy.
I don't have a problem with him addressing it, but that's the only fucking thing he talked about. Google, Kroger, the Fed. I wanna hear about ventilators, PPE gear production. Not the continued profits of his corporate jizzsmoker buddies.

That happened in Rhode Island too. Got an email about it yesterday.

All I saw was Trump telling people he's talked to all of the major chains and there's no supply problems so stop buying so much shit.
I forgot that it was an automatic death sentence to lie to the president. This guy gets fucked over repeatedly and he still trusts everything people tell him

The Ohio governor is considering closing bars and restaurants entirely. anyone still eating out at this point is naive imo.

That's nice. Here's what the governor of Oklahoma did after going to a convention with thousands of people, here in OKC. That tweet got ratioed hard so he deleted it.

They can mandate voting by mail, it isn't really a problem in places that already do it (like oregon).

Grandpa said he wouldnt last until 2030 all my life. Apparently he was 8 years off. 70 plus with a lung condition

Im honestly still surprised the primaries are still going on. Bernie seems like he would cut and run. Isnt the next states like florida and alabama or some other heavily Biden shit

I bet some Establishment lackey has already told Bernie off the record that in addition to hampering the holy crusade against Trump by continuing a divisive primary he's PUTTING LIVES AT RISK by continuing to campaign. In fact, I'm surprised they haven't had a proxy write an article to that effect in the Washington Post or NYT and then claimed it was nothing to do with them.

Need to say this somewhere...live in Kirkland, walking distance from the Life Care center, Evergreen and work in a hospital around multiple people positive for coronavirus.
Was not prepared to join the hoarding ranks and my family has started stealing toilet paper from my fort built for protection. Please send help and toilet paper
In reality, our government sucks, it's taking days to get test results back and there are not appropriate PPE for staff- reusing single use disposable PPE that doesn't protect or prevent spread.
Going to run out and apply for a loan I'll 100% get denied for...at least I'll have tried.

Edit: I do not believe the US government is giving accurate numbers...there is no fucking way they are that low. Also- testing being semi-restricted to keep numbers down (hospitals don't want the community to know we're full of positive and waiting for results patients, worried about financial ramifications).
