No panic but not many people out and about. Schools and the local YMCA's being closed means far fewer people on the bus. Milwaukee has two cases; the aforementioned person in the downtown building - male, recently traveled and one female, in her 30's. No more information is available as they are rather new (Friday). Hope you stay well.

I have to say, this press conference has been the most encouraging one thus far. More information, letting the experts speak and give their assessments, and most importantly ... A planned/tentative time frame in which we can expect this to last. Give the American people a plan, and we'll immediately become less panicked.

Travis AFB update
It is finally being admitted to the hospital staff airmen that there is a gross mask shortage and that the reason why no one can wear their own mask to work is the same bullshit reason the teacher would use when telling children a false reason as to why they aren't allowed to chew gum in school. Can't have the airmen with more than half a brain being allowed to protect themselves, that would make the CoC look silly, vulnerable, uninformed and unprepared. They still give no fucks if the prepared airman has vulnerable family members, even with community spread having been confirmed to already have made another airman's wife ill.
As previously stated, most counties in the Bay Area (CA SanFran region) are going into quarantine, with the county containing Travis (Solano) mysteriously missing from the list.
The sound of aircraft has slowed down significantly. Have most been deployed to other areas? Did the previous traffic have something to do with the infected being dumped onto base?
Family Health in the base hospital's clinic has cancelled all appointments and have stopped scheduling new ones. No word yet on what's going on with the pharmacy.

At my work the managers and other special employees who can are working from home. However the equipment the rest of us uses can't be moved off site so we have to go there to work. Really hope they just close things soon since they are recommending no groups larger then 10

Anyways, I just heard the news on tv here in Waffle-land and they are floating the idea of a total lockdown like in France. I can't say i'm suprised about this. I feel a bit panicked that I can't go anywhere I want to. It gives me crazy cabin fever. I'm glad I took a walk today cuz' it could be the last in a long time. WTFFF.

Nope, because unlike Hoover, Trump can at least blame the Chinese and the plague for why it dropped (since it's one thing if the recession is due to a disaster, it's another if it's policy); people tend to be understanding so long as you also look like you're trying to fix it.

Though officially the UK government aren't closing down schools/colleges my uni is cancelling classes for this term and doing online classes instead. Didn't really expect this to happen though given that there's been an increase in cases lately I should have.
