I don't think about the woman like that at all. I take back financially the taxes that she sucks out via the California government so I'm not losing anything financially. We had a deragotory name for her between Marshall and I. We call her "The Scorpion", a reference to a Hebraic concept of Goy women. Marshall and I dont speak about her. She only came up during our Shidduch when we exchanged stories about exes and then when we dealt with Court stuff. Marshall and I make it a practice NOT to bring up exes. Those people are long gone faded memories for the both of us. We are more emotionally invested in each other.

It's a beautiful thing to build a family and grow up children. Tiring and trying at times, but a blessing nontheless. You don't have to lose yourself in your children. You can keep your passions and do your best to run a small business. When I'm an old woman I don't think I'll look back and miss sitting at a corporate desk. Jobs and careers are temporary, people retire from them. They are a tool to finance your life, not the end goal. But your family is with you for life. I can garuntee I will be more fulfilled as an old woman closing my eyes and remembering holding my babies and teaching them. I will be more fulfilled having my family clan gathered around for Sukkot than looking at trophies on a wall that I earned in corporate America.
