All liquor stores closed in Philly at midnight. On the news tons of people were lined up to buy booze. But some supermarkets here are now allowed to sell alcohol. So it's not like you can't get it. People are exceptional.

At least this will greatly reduce the amount of broken liquor bottles all over the damn sidewalks. Because my 'hood ain't got no supermarket. We have a lot of liquor stores though. :lol:

Not exactly a closure or cancellation but my middle class grocery delivery site is overwhelmed since the UK finally decided to firmly suggest we restrict our movement. No new customers allowed to sign up. (So, fuck off back to Tesco, peasants). Half the shops in my town have been stripped of all toilet paper etc, the rest seem as well stocked as ever.

Even if it did they're like 95% old people, pozzed people, and chain smokers so to protect these people the powers that be decided to nuke the world economy and cause billions of millions of healthy people weeks and months of misery and panic so COPD boomers, bugchasers, and George Soros don't need an iron lung.

Even at its worst, the death rate from Coronachan would be minimal in the scheme of things. It's not Ebola.
The over reaction is giving a lot of governments powers they truly shouldn't have and because of "public panic" - fostered by the media - people are willfully asking for their civil liberties to be taken away.
Social isolation, shutting everything down etc doesn't achieve anything but economic ruin. The virus is still going to be there - in fact, every flu season from now on it will be there. So are all the other strands of Corona Virus that currently go around and kill people.
The only people self isolation helps are people who would get sick from the flu anyway. 80% of mild cases of the flu is no reason to close everything down, strip people of civil liberties and create economic ruin.

People idealising about autistic shit like "field hospitals" and the like have no idea how COVID-19 works in the body.
80% of cases are mild (in most cases so mild the person doesn't even know they have it). 15% people have bad flu like symptoms and only 5-6% are critical.

You really have to question why places like NJ are so hellbent on things like 8pm curfews for a Viral outbreak. The virus doesn't come out at night like a vampire. Are they going to do this every flu season?

It would make sense if this shit actually was dangerous like ebola or someone letting out the smallpox samples. Not "holy shit the flu but a bit worse if you're old/pozzed". That's why the government can lock things down like this to begin with. Maybe they should just shut it down for the flu every year, that kills people.

There's gotta be a real ulterior motive for locking down countries over something which is barely dangerous. Probably so TPTB can have WWIII-like effects on the economy without actually having WWIII.
