I had no idea that was a negative rating, how do you figure that out with the new forum software? Just looking at how your reaction score changes? Is there a place to find exactly what each rating's value is?
I just remember it being negative from the post discussing it
I added another negative rating: Lunacy :lunacy:

Not so much a "ratings" issue as a "notifs about ratings" issue:
Could we have it so that multiple reactions to a single post generate a combined notification in your feed? So if you have 20 reactions to one post since your last visit, then 5 to another post, and one guy quotes a post of yours, you get 3 notifications instead of 26.
You can, of course, turn react notifications off, but I thought consolidation would be better.

I think we should inflate the amount of points Semper Fi gives out from +1 to +3, while also adding a new Mega-Dumb (or something more cleverly named) rating that deducts 3 points. I like variety as much as the next person, but I believe having an option to give/take away more points would be nice.

Make it a gacha game and charge for points with discounts for huge purchases of points. Then laugh at anyone who buys them and uses them.

I think we should make Dumbtistic a real rating too.

Mega dumb. That'd be autistic, right? But which is worse, autistic or dumb?

Is there a primer on how ratings work somewhere? I have the Semper Fi and Deviant ratings on my bar, but the forum throws an error message when i try to give them out. At this point I'm not sure if it's working as designed and I've missed something, or is it fucked.

You have to be a True and Honest Fan to use those ratings and the DRINK! one, they’re just showing up for everyone for some reason, server issues perhaps. Send Null $20USD for the tag.

For the life of me I could swear I was able to use them before. But i guess a previous fuckup caused my current confusion, while the current fuckup isn't a fuckup - it's working as designed.

Here's my ratings criteria:

Informative: Your post contains some information I didn't know about already.
Thoughtful: Your post is not a post I agree or disagree with, but it makes me think.

Islamic Content: Either when something pro-Islam is posted or something so degenerate that it might as well be pro-Islam.
Drink!: You said something stupid, but you made me laugh.
Lunacy: Utter nonsense.
Autistic: Focusing on way too many unimportant details or you say something that reeks of a whiner.
Horrifying: Your post disturbed me in some sort of way.
Optimistic: Your post is a bit out there in terms of your assumption of whether something is like
TMI (or Powerlevel): You reveal your personal details to the Farms and they are embarrassing.
Late: Your post was late.
Dumb: Your post is dumb.
MOTI: You sound like you're mad.

Highlight and bookmark this post so newfags can get sort of the feel for this place.

I don’t think people are using it wrong, but I think it should be a neutral rating. I’ve rarely seen it used to rate the content of actual user’s posts as crazy, it’s usually used for screenshots of people saying crazy shit. So it shouldn’t negatively affect user’s scores. Islamic Content being negative makes sense. It’s a one-up to horrifying. (At least from what I’ve seen.)

I’ve seen negatively rated posts being highlighted, so I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make about that.

So is Lunacy supposed to be a negative rating referring to the poster, or not if they're quoting an article or something?
