Hopefully the world learns not to put their manufacturing business there. After that put on some sanctions against it. Time to spank the brat.

Honestly okay besides a mild annoyance that I can't get chicken or half the meat I want because some tards keep buying it all. Not happy I'm employed with no work to do and thus pay (since I get paid when I go on site).

I'm sitting here like "Jesus. Cuomo is pushing for 'temporary national measures' a la The Patriot Act" (and we all know how temporary The Patriot Act was, right?). He's basically saying that we should be making several federal laws to apply to every state, and Trump is saying that every state is very unique in how this virus is affecting them. Trump seems to be very reluctant to do something drastic on a national level. Who looks like the dictator here?

Seriously: The virus doesn't scare me nearly as much as the aftermath of it. Our economy is fucked, and our government is already ready to strip our rights away in the name of "safety" and "protection." There's zero chance that any new "temporary" law would actually be temporary.

most ceos and c-suite execs aren't that old. usually in their 50s or early 60s. and with the way retirement funds work and the high cost of healthcare, you really shouldn't retire before 65 anyway. obviously most people dont think there is much different between 60 and 70, but in terms of health there is. plus when you get to that level you can pretty much do your job out of office, and your house is big enough that you could quarantine it and not feel too bad.

This can be tested by just setting the year to 2038. Do not do that on anything you aren't willing to potentially bork, though. It pretty much kills 32 bit Android devices.

2038 shouldn't be a problem unless you're using a computer from 10+ years ago. companies remembered the hassle of y2k too much to not be forward thinking now. unless you're planning on using a 25 year old cell phone or 30 year old computer in 2038 you have nothing to worry about. In fact if you're using 25+ year old anything; you clearly have bigger problems. Imagine someone trying to use the internet on a 1995 computer, i don't think 25 year old cars are even allowed on the roads because of emissions where i live.

I came to the hospital with fever of 37,4°C (99,3 F) and that was the only symptom I had that day.
The next two days the fever climbed up to 38,5°C (101,3 F) and classic flu symptoms started to appear, muscle and joint pain, "heavy head" and general fatigue.

Hmm I've just had the same symptoms for the last couple days. The temperature was fluctuating from normal to 39C. Panadol seemed really effective taking the temperature down, and after taking it I'd start sweating like crazy for a few hours.

I'm feeling better now. I fall under the same age group, generally in good health. I was not tested though - I called the Australian gov't health info line and was told that my symptoms don't qualify for testing.

Came back from lunch to learn 2 coworkers may have it; 1 had exposure to a possible case and the other is in the hospital for pneumonia and was showing symptoms so they've tested them and we are awaiting results.

China has contained the virus, as have most other East Asian nations. You can even go clubbing in Beijing right now. Hundreds of thousands of Chinese citizens in Europe are actually paying for expensive chartered flights to return to China because they realize the west is not safe.

Anyone else who is in reasonable health and not that old kind of wish to just get it and have it over with? If it's really just like a flu - well that's very unpleasant but to go through and then be immune and also not have to worry about it afterwards would be kind of nice.

Not that I intend to do anything to unnecessarily risk getting it but it's been on my mind. If everyone is going to get it in the end anyway and vaccines are a year away.
