I love this "native soverignty" stuff.

They had the run of the entire continent, north to south and east to west. And the ones actually in what we now know as the United States built tepees and made arrowheads. The proto-Mexicans had brain surgery, human sacrifice, and arena sports. The forerunners of the South Americans did much the same even earlier. And you fuckers built tepees.

How has the Native American population been handling the coronavirus anyway? Have not heard much reporting on that group.

8 deaths in Germany so far (all over 60) and in my town (just a small town in bumfuck nowhere) the first people are in self-quarantine after returning from a skiing vacation in South Tirol. Because why come back sooner? It's just a pandemic and Corona is a great souvenir.

Schools and Kindergärten are closed, public events canceled, old people homes and certain hospitals have banned visitors, and most companies have gone into home office mode but payment of employees and financial support for companies and emergency child care for people in "important" jobs has been ensured by the government. Trucks are once again allowed to drive on Sundays to ensure that there will be no supply shortages. Sounds good so far. Was shopping today and didn't see any shortages except low fat m. ilk (low fat, seriously?) and disinfectant (as expected).

Btw, N-Acetyl Cysteine is very, very good.

We've had many medical advances since 1918. Most people are unnessesarily worried, but they dont want to carry infection to the older folks, and so, for America, it's quite a nice trend in elder treatment, as far as I know.

Reindeer moss works well too, doesn't have iodine like moss does but it is a great at Killin germs because of its inherent acids. Hell, it can deal with staph. Always good to tuck that nugget away. Great source of carbs in the wild too, when not used as nature's bog rolls.

I'll remember to do that next time I just stumble on some reindeer moss. Or do I eat for carbs, a am confuse.

The Mound Builders had quite the empire in north america judging by how widespread the material culture was but they were all dead by the time the English colonies materialized.

Apparently the current tests have a 3-4% failure / false positive or negative rate.

How about some nice news for a change?

Corona-chan has released the first three patients in Croatia. Let's see what their experience was like.
*note that all three are young (25-35 assumed, their identities are protected), not immunocompromised afaik, at worst they are a bit of alcoholics and/or smokers

I came to the hospital with fever of 37,4°C (99,3 F) and that was the only symptom I had that day.
The next two days the fever climbed up to 38,5°C (101,3 F) and classic flu symptoms started to appear, muscle and joint pain, "heavy head" and general fatigue.
After that the fever fell to 37,5°C (99,5 F), and it was almost gone the next day.
"For six days I had some symptoms and after then they stopped. All that was left was chronic fatigue fot the next couple of days. It's hard to tell if that was from the disease or consequences of being indoors for so long."


They are still gonna be quarantined for a week or so.
I guess this is what mild Corona is like, which is supposed to be most cases.

He's been in physical proximity with a few officials who shortly afterward tested positive, and has reportedly not been tested himself, or taken any other precautions. The virus has an asymptomatic incubation period where it can be spread. If the reports are accurate, this would suggest he is being, in technical terms, a dum-dum.
