Joe Biden swept all three primaries on Tuesday night in Arizona, Florida and Illinois, CBS News projects. The contests took place amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis that led Ohio officials to postpone their primary, which had also been scheduled for Tuesday.

In remarks after his early win in Florida, Biden, speaking from his home in Wilmington, Delaware, said his campaign appeared to have had a "very good night," but he also spoke about the coronavirus crisis. He told Americans that "it's important to get through this crisis protecting both the public health and our democracy."

Bernie Sanders gave remarks via livestream earlier in the night. He focused mainly on the coronavirus crisis and highlighted unity.

Tuesday's lopsided results will expand the divide in delegates between Biden and Sanders.

It's unclear when the next primary contests will be held. Georgia, which had been set to vote on March 24, has postponed its primary, as did Louisiana, which was scheduled to go to the polls on April 4.

President Trump, meanwhile, clinched the Republican nomination on Tuesday night
"This is bigger than any one of us," Biden said. "This calls for a national rallying of everybody together."

Now that Bernie is truly perma-fucked, should we keep an eye on @Ashy the Angel and make sure he doesn't go full blackpill doomer over this?

As much as I think his views on democratic socialism are hopelessly naive at the very best and dumb as fuck at the very worst, he's sincere about it and I can respect his dedication.

I've been saying this for a while now, but the DNC has written off 2020 and are running Biden as a jobber since he's the candidate who will do the least damage down ballot by losing to Trump.

If the COVID-19 crisis does get worse and hasn't improved by November, Biden might achieve a narrow win unless he picks an utterly toxic running mate for VP.

Unfortunately, the most commonly speculated picks for Biden's VP right now are Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, Stacey Abrams, Elizabeth Warren, and Amy Klobuchar.

With the possible exception of Klobuchar, all are widely disliked by the majority of voters. Even if you were trying to give an olive branch to the progressive and leftist voters, Warren is now a poor choice since she alienated the Bernie crowd.

That would be a good gesture. It'll show that outside of politics, we're all just people.

Besides, I like Ashy over Tuscan. I don't want to lose Ashy.

Agreed. For all his flaws, you can tell Ashy's heart's in the right place.

Really, Ashy's just some hapless furry kid who got radicalized by the SJW cultural zeitgeist like so many other Millennials and Early Zoomers. Seeing as he went to Kiwi Farms of all places and hasn't either abandoned the site or been halal'd and he's proven that he's not a gimmick poster or a troll, I think he's got some potential.

I'm probably going to get a lot of rainbow stickers for saying this, but I think it's entirely within the realm of possibility that Ashy might even end up "de-radicalizing" once woke leftism starts to fall out of favor in the wider cultural zeitgeist. A lot has changed just within the past several months.

Now, tuscangardner is a pathetic and blatantly obvious gimmick poster who probably doesn't even actually believe most of the commie garbage that he spews and I'm surprised he hasn't been banned from the site for gimmick posting.

You're ignoring court appointments and congressional coattails. Parties never "write off" elections. Biden is a serious nominee, because that's where the DNC is right now. Out of money, out of canidates, and out of ideas; but they have no choice but to play to win.

49% of the country is going to vote democrat anyway. All that matters is turnout.

Oh, I know the DNC wants to win because of the courts and will gladly take the win if Biden does somehow pull it off, but I also think running Biden also serves as a "Plan B" so if they do lose, it'll be less damaging to them long term, especially with the 2022 midterms and 2024.

Biden is the best candidate the DNC establishment has to win against Trump, and he's also the best candidate they have to use as a jobber. It seems like an oxymoron, but it really isn't. He's got enough recognition and is moderate enough to not alienate too many voters, but he's also old and not so left-leaning that him losing would not cripple the party's future endeavors like Carter and Mondale's losses in the 80's did.

The candidates who could have the most chance of beating Trump were Tulsi, Yang, and Bernie, and all are detested by the DNC and seen as interlopers. And as Bernie has proven, having a loyal voter base means jack shit if they don't show up to vote.

I think this election will be close either way and it's all going to come down to voter turnout.

As far as silver linings go: can you imagine the screeching and temper tantrums that would've been thrown if state primaries were postponed before the Dems had a clear front runner?

Imagine if Super Tuesday had half of its races postponed. Now imagine the "Russian conspiracy theories" that would spread if certain states postponed.

i swear the DNC must use an algorithm to shit out old, corrupt, milquetoast, spineless career politicians every fucking election. who the fuck in their right mind would get excited about voting for joe "reach-across-the-aisle-and-sniff-your daughter-in-style" biden?

Me, I can't wait until A&N's collective autistic breakdown when their holy "God Emperor" loses to the same forces he once claimed to defeat.
Why would you vote for somebody who has caused tens of thousands of unnecessary deaths from taking slow action well claiming said crisis is a hoax? Suck harder, maybe he'll give you more coronabux for being such a diligent shill.
