I never really thought of fan service in that way but the more I think about it the more your right.

If you look at fan service from the 80's and 90's the women had much more realistic proportions and you'd rarely if ever see fan service of a character who was a preteen. Trump might be a disappointment but I'd rather have him than Biden/Warren." he's still trying to still have a typical 'MAGA vibe' to try 'redpill the MAGApedes' but it just doesn't work. He's been doing stuff like "See, I'm a TRUE Trump fan," on Twitter lately, instead of dismissing the entire idea of Trump and just going for the reality of the situation.

But it works both ways, though: it's easiest to attract new followers to your ideas if you project some sort of power legitimizing your ideas and yourself as the person to execute them. Most people will not sit down for hours to debate you unless they are fringe obsessives predisposed to doing that. Instead, they are people occupied with everyday problems who will perk up if you indicate you can solve those problems.

If the alt-right built something IRL that filled a power vacuum (for example, heroin rehab clinics or vocational training facilities for whites in appalachia) they could get away with advocating some pretty far-out shit.
