Assuming that this was an effective PR strategy for a moment, it would only work if you were actually addressing the problems.You are supposed to say BOTH.
"I don't support these shootings but these shooters do have legitimatizes grievances. They don't want diversity, they don't want to become a minority in their neighborhood and they feel powerless to enact change through the system because the liberals marginalize their viewpoint as racist. So again I don't support these actions but these people do have legit graveness and domestic terrorism from muslims or whites or blacks is just part of daily life in a multiracial society. There will ALWAYS be people ON BOTH SIDES that dislike multiculturalism and will fight to achieve a neighborhood that looks like them, #selfdetermination."
The El Paso shooter was just a regular guy who believed in the agenda Trump sold in 2016.
Would he have gone out blasting if Trump had done something as simple as pushing out an EO clarifying the birthright citizenship question, or any of a number of simple, effectively free things he promised to do? Probably not.
