so, with temporary UBI, I wonder how they'll handle it logistically? isn't lot of stuff in the usa done by checks? can't wait for people to kill each other to steal mail, and what about people that never got theirs (or claim so?). can't hand it out via govermnet office and huge lines to collect it, because some people would love knowing everybody is running around with 1000 bucks in their pocket (plus corona, so...).

This would be a testing ground of how a UBI system could properly work. But Trump is treading the waters for this, so I guess it's a case of "He copied my homework!" I thought that's what the Democrats wanted: using taxpayer money to benefit the people.
We'll see what happens. I doubt it's as cut and dry as everybody getting $1000. Semantics and all.

He's trying to be a TDS shock jock. The difference is, successful shock jocks like Howard Stern have endearing qualities that attract a dedicated fan base. Rick Wilson on the other hand does it so he can stay relevant. He knows that once Trump is out of the White House, nobody will want to have anything to do with him. CNN and MSNBC won't want to promote any of his books and the GOP sure as hell won't ask him to come up with any campaign strategies for them.
