Introducing the New 'New Warriors' - The classic team reunites to mentor a new generation of heroes!

The writer, Daniel Kibblesmith, looks like this. That's all you really need to see to know everything about this comic.

EDIT:
Daniel Kibblesmith, a writer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Kibblesmith is behind Loki, Black Panther Vs. Deadpool, and the children’s book Santa’s Husband.
He's also the author behind this affront to God.

Santa is the black one, btw...

Their hair looks pretty straight for ebonoids, even as short as it is. The noses aren't particularly African-looking either, nor the eyes... which is fine, but then why the massive borderline-offensive niggalips? Literally everything about these character designs is straight up visually offensive, especially the fact that they each have a single-colour costume that is the same colour as both their hair and eyes. They're extremely garish and hard to look at colours, too. Why not tone down the neon--or hell, their whole schtick is that they're siblings who work together. Why not have accents on each one's costume in the other one's main colour? Or switch the colours of their eyes or hair, maybe? These designs look like they shouldn't have even made it out of the concept sketch stage.

I'll admit it.

When I saw "The Warriors," I thought it was about someone trying to add new characters to some adaptation of the novel that gave us the 1979 movie.

I am kind of relieved it wasn't quite that bad.

The thread title just says "Warriors" without the "the" so at first glance I thought it was about the Warriors series of novels. Like the ones about the cats.

What the fuck do they mean "mixed reactions" I'm pretty sure 9/11 had a more "mixed reaction" than this trainwreck of an announcement.
everybody and their grandmother fucking despise this horrendous excuse for a comic.

If this is a "mixed reaction" than I would really love to see what they consider a "negative reaction". Do we need to start lynching the author or what.

I was listening to a podcast called Who Are These Podcasts, and they were covering an ENBY podcast called They/Them/Theirs. One of the hosts actually said, "I don't care what pronouns you use to address me, I'm going to be offended."

These faggots relish in this type of behavior, so trying to pander to them with these ridiculous characters will never work. You try to be super woke, and they still hate it because it's not woke "the right way."

Who gives a fuck about black ENBYs? How many of them could there possibly be in the US? A few thousand at most? Does Marvel really think this is going to make them money? I just...ugh. My brain feels like it's sputtering to a halt thinking about this nonsense.

Also, it's nice to see Steve Shives got into making comics.

They mean it's obviously pandering to them by doing everything they asked for, but it's still shit and dumb. They just can't say that the characters are dumb because that enby erasure or whatever, so they have to soften their language just a bit. You'll see they still backhand the author, calling him a cis white male (pretty much an insult in these circles) but claim they still respect his efforts as an "ally". Bullshit. No ally is respected. They're used until they're useless, then they're condemned.

it's nice to see Steve Shives
This has literally never once been true.

Does Marvel have to go under, before these idiots realize they are pandering to people who aren't gonna buy their comics? Comics are an expensie luxury item, which is typically unjustifiable for people who are so dysfunctional they can barely leave the house without descending into shit flinging hysterics, let alone hold a a fucking job to pay for these!

This is it folks, we’ve hit peak woke culture.

Certainly this is when it starts descending after this, right?

Diversity and Comics pointed out that thanks to Corona Chan causing the entertainment industry to take some pretty big hits we might see a lot more companies be more careful in what they invest their money into. The Coronavirus has pretty much punched a big hole in Marvel’s “flood the shelves” strategy which they had been using as a means to keep their business afloat

Tumblr art is now the standard in comics, dangerhair, inconsistent ethnic features, like you assembled a "perfect" minority from a big box of human "POC parts" LEGO bricks, stupid "nonconforming" wardrobes, and we all are worse for it.

Forget crap characters, crap stories, crap political undertones, it could theoretically all be stomached if they could draw "classic" superheroes anymore and thus at least be interesting to look at, people LIKE looking at curvy chicks and muscular dudes, which also have been excised for being "problematic". The standard ISO-9000 heroic build these days is thin wiry dudes who couldn't win a barfight with an angry truck driver and fat chicks who would be defeated by the villain standing at the top of 2 flights of stairs... case in point, Trailblazer, a fat chick whose superpowers don't compensate FOR the fact she's a fat chick, and you expect her to be able to fight crime, much less keep up with the rest of the team? SMDH. Oh, she has a "magic backpack" , so it's okay, but it doesn't give her any actual powers, it's just a bag of holding.....

As others have pointed out, it's funny to watch the Tumblrites and Blue Checkmarks get as close as they can to denouncing Kibbleznbitz as a white male, but having a hard time finding out exactly where he sinned... since the characters are exactly what places like TMS have stated they want, and in their panic to find something, the mask is starting to noticeably slip... : "Yeah, he gave us exactly what we said we wanted, in the style we said he wanted, and didn't complain as he did it, and totally bent the knee to representation and the REAL customers: corporate overlords, but, but, but...... he's WHITE and MALE! "

Tumblr-style art is literally racist and draws black people as hideously ugly caricatures.

The only logical explanation I can find is that the writers thought that embracing terms like Snowflake would give them asspats on twitter from blue checkmarks for embracing names people mock them as. So they as stereotypically woke as possible.

"Look at us! We embrace their hate and use it as symbol of strength!"

But instead came to as ridiculous to the extent it seems like self-parody. Or am I giving them too much credit? They can't be that blind, can they?

*Remembers that Doctor Who retcon.

...Nevermind.
