I believe the Chinese have been hiding information and lying from the get-go. This is all China's fault, first for creating the virus, second for not telling about the problem, and third for letting so many Chinese go overseas to spread the virus. It's as if the Chinese have done all this deliberately. May not be too much of a stretch to consider what has happened an act of war against the rest of the world.

Stop repeating this lie. China discovered the American Virus on December 26th. Five days later, it was sequenced and reported to the WHO. That is an exceptionally fast response time for a novel virus and the international health community has commended them for it.

If you needed to be told of the dangers of rubbing the sensitive parts of your gonads with alcohol you shouldn't be told of them, sometimes natural selection must just take its course.

Any evidence for this blood type argument? That sounds like wishful thinking but I am happy to be wrong.

I don't think that people are likely to "blow off" social distancing measures, for the simple reason that government officials are making it almost impossible to do so.

However I do think that once there is an efficient testing method and they find that most people become asymptomatic carriers, and they figure put who will die from it, things might return to normal slowly but surely.

I mean, some people are going to die. They know it and we know it. The issue (I THINK) comes down to keeping enough ICU beds available to those who can be saved, with support.

I and my union contact are both 0-. We both got it. We both have gotten 3 different flus this year. Most of my contacts right now are A. Most haven't got it this round. Anecdotal but still better than anything out of china. Obviously there's more important factors than the fucking blood group. Big day of news here in NZ. 28 cases, 8 new ones.

- My hometown and the ensuing region is shitting their pants after 2 of the 8 new cases went to the library. My friends are scared up there. The supermarkets got BTFO'd within hours of the reveal.
- I've lost ten thousand dollars so far.
- At least one bank has stooped to 0.25% already.
- All positively tested people have returned from overseas so no community spread is yet apparent.
- QANTAS and Jetstar across the ditch in Oz have ceased all international flights and have closed their borders. 20,000 workers no longer required and domestic flights cut by 60 percent.

- NZ has completely shut the country off to all international passengers from 11:59pm, about 2 hours ago, and have advised citizens to come back immediately if they can. There's a shit ton of kiwis stuck at Heathrow after the Air NZ flight was cancelled. Not sure how they're getting home at this point, especially 2 stuck in Peru that had 24 hours notice of the border closing. They are entertaining a few chartered mercy flights for those that are truly fucked.

- A major supermarket chain, but only one of them, has finally added a 2 per customer rule for essentials that are currently flying off shelves such as rice, pasta, TP and cleaners etc.

- For the first time probably in history they have cancelled the ANZAC celebrations in April which commemorate NZ and Aus soldiers that fought in WWI at Gallipoli and WWII. The last time these events were scaled back was after the mosque shooting in Christchurch.

An interesting thought I had. If the Corona virus is guaranteed to hit the majority of the population (and it doesn't reinfect in the vast majority of people), then the best course of action is to intentionally infect the majority of the the populace that isn't in the danger group (ie, people under 30) segmentally one after the other so that the few complications that will arise won't flood the hospitals capacity. Though the challenge is that you need to do it so that the different groups will be divided from each other and be divided from people that are in the danger group.

Each and every office space bound jackass parent is taking full advantage of their work from home orders and ignoring the reasons why, and spending their time anywhere they can fucking be but their home. Literally everyday for the past week, I have almost gotten into a wreck. Cyclists will buzz past stop signs going well over 25mph. Ignorant parents will let their kids slowly circle around my fucking car like a bunch of exceptional sharks. Picnics. So many goddang fucking picnics and tubberware. It feels like I'm watching a petri dish in the mingle phases before it really explodes and it frustrates the fuck outta me. So many old people are out like its no big deal. They see me in my n95 mask and look at me like I'm having sex with my hand. Hey grandpa, go home you suicidal fart box. Holy shit.

Also good luck containing this shit in LA. I keep telling my friends who live in California to be careful as fuck. Once the homeless realize how defenseless and fragile the rich white folks are in Beverly Hills all hell is gonna break loose and you're gonna have everyone with a chip on their shoulder collaborating to eat the rich.
