Wuhan Coronavirus: Lockdowns, Quarantines, Cancellations

NZ is now closed as of midnight to all international passengers except citizens and permanent residents. Many kiwis stranded overseas as flights have been cancelled. Deputy PM considering mercy flights to those affected so they can come home. He also warned not to travel out of the country as you may not be able to come home for a long time.

ANZAC memorial day cancelled this year across the country.

This shit will take a lot of hobos of the street. Some will be dead, the rest will go squat in homes owned by some dead boomer and spare people.

They might get violent if they're finding it hard to get Thunderbird and heroin though.
This is highly doubtful. In fact I'd go as far to say that the hobos are going to be considerably safer from the corona virus due to being for the most part outside and not in buildings with large swathes of people.

To take people's minds off of this crisis, a bit of a different kind of story:

In Hamburg in northern Germany, a bar has to close its door for the first time in 70 years. That's right, the bar has been open nonstop for over 7 decades.
There's only one problem: The owner of the bar doesn't have a key for his front door, he never had to lock it after all.

Judging by the amount of re-tarded young people in Germany who think that their right to have fun comes before other people's right to physical integrity/life, I would not be surprised if the government is going to lock down all 16 states come Monday or even sooner. Politicians are already threatening local curfews. We nearly have 15,000 infected and 44 deaths. Infections are still rising exponential. And retarded young people willfully ignore instructions by the government. I wonder how many of them will end up in the hospital? A lot of young people here smoke and drink (a lot).

Every time I crack a joke on the more cucked parts of the internet about how Germany isn't a free country because of hate speech laws etc, some German tries to argue with me that Freedom means the government essentially setting up a playground for you (instead of, you know, Rights and Responsibilities but being left the fuck alone whenever possible). Not surprised in the least by this narcissism.

I live near a big park in a certain plagued Washington city and the parking lot is completely full with cars circling the block trying to find spots. Place is packed. We’re sure to get our parks closed if this autism keeps up. *sigh*
(Edit -typo)

I don't really blame them to be honest. The weather has been fantastic after a brutal winter and there's basically nothing else to do. If they do close the parks I think people will legitimately start to go insane.

Germany isn't a free country, no country in the EU is, but life here is good for the most part. But maybe I just think that because I'm used to it. :oops:However, no one will arrest you for saying bad words in public (too loudly), only if you say them on social media. Most Germans aren't that woke (just snotty Zoomers) and you have no idea what kind of outrageous shit people here say sometimes.

By the way, the Robert Koch Institute is using GPS smartphone data from German citizens to see if we follow instructions and stay home/reduce social contacts. If not, we'll be locked down. That's not Orwellian at all, right? Free country and so on.

Shit just got real. Closing up online after having closed brick and mortar earlier.

To be fair, what they're describing are "positive freedoms", while what we're thinking of are "negative freedoms". Some terminology I learned in high school ethics.

No photos because the ones I was sent are borderline unreadable anyway, but a friend just told me that WalMart stores are apparently going to further reduce their operational hours to 7am-8:30pm and on Tuesdays for the next month will open one hour earlier (6am) exclusively for seniors age 60+ to shop.

I was getting reports of that all day. Will be confirming with a few other local Walmarts tomorrow.

Nothing like such a sobering announcement followed by the word "shop" with a bra above it and "offers" with a bunch of panties.

No need to panic until Amazon stops delivering. If they started to care about their employees, you'd know shit was getting real.
