Anybody know what's going on with Germany's numbers? They seem fucked to me; 15,320 confirmed infected with only 44 dead compared to the UK with ~2700 confirmed and 137 dead. Are they covering up deaths?

Are we seriously going to start bitching about a potential treatment for this, now? Are we actually going to do that?
Any idiots that still believe that their "corporate family" values them have now had that dream shattered. Based on this, I think this whole problem is a good thing overall.
Extremely unlikely. More likely that germany is catching more early/mild cases then the UK is catching in their testing. The simple infection of a nursing home could throw a number as low as 44 off by a wild amount.Anybody know what's going on with Germany's numbers? US:
191 deaths
108 recoveries
I recall early in the thread talk of China's numbers and comparing deaths vs recoveries being important.
Why more deaths than recovered? Is it just too early in to see recoveries?
I think they're slimey mindless faggots but aggressively criticizing the ruling government is not treason. The media poking the government in the face and calling them shitty is a fundamental American value. Just cause they're being retarded this time doesn't mean the whole thing should be thrown out.Our current generation of journalists is straying dangerously close to treason.
Seeing those heads, in those bubbles was chilling. Like, that's horror movie stuff, literally drowning in air and hospitals not having the equipment to save you. It's a possible future for countries behind Italy on the infection curve, for hundreds of thousands closer to home, if we don't get this thing under control.Horrifying![]()
I'm calling bullshit just based on how many journalists and politicans would be fucked with this law. DC is technically in maryland when it comes to shit like state lines, but almost all journalists are in VA, same with a shitload of congress, the amount of interstate travel between VA and MD is almost as much as the ones between NJ and NY. You would basically be turning everyone against the feds for that. Christie went from prospective head of the RNC or President to unemployed for closing a few lanes of traffic on just one bridge in new jersey. deaths would happen with interstate travel, that plus the century of road building in this nation means you would need a vehicle and soldier on every road. stopping interstate travel also doesn't stop people fromI'm rating you autistic right now, but I'm coming back to change it to winner if you're right.

I’m sorry. This was a situation whose complexity I underestimated, Nutria. If my local supermarket put up prices in response to increased demand, I might actually be able to buy stuff.

I'm all for it, as long as this "bailout check" comes in the form of a pair of handcuffs and a 1 way ticket to mexico.
I wonder if in hindsight, given the damage to the global economy from all this, it would have just been cheaper to guarantee a nutrition supply to every human on the planet so they don't have to eat shit like bats and monkeys. Add up all the money and lost growth and this'll end up costing trillions right? And killing millions? I think I'd rather have spent that money feeding everyone. Literally just giving away food everywhere until nobodies involuntarily hungry any more. How many tens of billions would that cost per year? Versus trillions now?Eating fresh bat caused Ebola and eating monkey caused AIDS so it seems like some animals should just be haram.
With the government as co-owner of your business, won't that make you subject to every stupid government regulation on the books? And won't you then be filling out all kinds of forms in triplicate?
We've been trying out damnest to get africa on the right track for half a century now. China's wealth has exploded over the last 30 years. These are human problems. You could give these countries all the food they could ever want and they will STILL eat bat/baboon/rat/whatever because short of military occupation you can ensure the local governments will never comply with what you want them to do, and the locals will either worship the fancy new toilet you installed or throw all the western food away because "black voodoo magiks".I wonder if in hindsight, given the damage to the global economy from all this, it would have just been cheaper to guarantee a nutrition supply to every human on the planet so they don't have to eat shit like bats and monkeys. They're playing the retarded racism angle because 1) they're fucktarded and 2) their fucktarded overprivileged turdpile of a readership eats that shit up. That's not actual chinese propaganda. I don't think these people are actually taking marching orders from Winnie the Poo. This particular article doesn't even say anything positive about the chinks, it's just a garden variety "drumphthhdgpppbbbbbbbbbb did it so its bad" article.I want to make a hard line distinction between being a legit criticism and a mouthpiece of Xi Xinping. Too much of our media seems to want to be the latter rather then the former. Criticism of government is fine. Being a tool of the Chinese Communist Party is not.
This MSNBC piece touches on a bunch of random shit, but the thing that should interest most of is the fact that:
Apparently not only did the CCP buy up all the fucking masks, but they made contracts with ventilator companies to buy up all their stock through June way back in the beginning of February when they were downplaying the severity of the crisis to the world.
Sure, as soon as you manage to pacify the warlords intercepting and profiting from selling the food (and other aid) while the unarmed populace starves - as it has always been.I wonder if in hindsight, given the damage to the global economy from all this, it would have just been cheaper to guarantee a nutrition supply to every human on the planet so they don't have to eat shit like bats and monkeys. It is if it's done at the behest and/or to benefit a foreign power, especially if it's a hostile foreign power. If the ChiComs deliberately allowed the virus to escape, infect our citizens and then deny us medicine and parts for ventilators then it's pretty much a casus belli for war.I think they're slimey mindless faggots but aggressively criticizing the ruling government is not treason.
