Furry Fandom and Drama General

Battle.net is verified here as Immelman#11529, and that Discord profile view has it with the checkmark meaning it's verified.

In addition, his current FA page lists "RebeccaRaptorArt" as her telegram account.

Her archived InkBunny page is also pretty clear that she goes by "Rebecca Raptor", now.

I'm gonna have to call your first instinct low-effort. I verified it with a single google-query for that b.net tag. That said, @TheDuncanKramer was about ten times lower on the effort. Fuck me, my guy. It was ONE google query.

You're not wrong but it's not my job to verify we're looking at Immelmann, it's his and if I do it for him he won't fucking learn.

Or if you weren't an assblasted shitwaffle you'd know that all accounts linked to discord MUST be verified through the account you're trying to connect.

Fair point.

I also archived the Discord server invitation, for the higher effort thing.
Archiving a discord invite does nothing if the invite is expired or revoked.

Well, it's a weird fetish RP community, but I wouldn't say he's doing anything especial. There's no particular "why" , I guess, unless that particular name piques your interest.
The name has been mentioned twice, and it was after you posted. If he's just some weirdo you find neat to look at, the personal lolcow thread is the place to go. If you're just posting because you and him have some beef or whatever, quit while you're behind.

Seriously I think AC gets worse by the day.

Furry Weekend Atlanta has been cancelled.

I have strong leads that Kosperry is a total fake and not a real college aged girl as proclaimed in 'her' About section on DA. And I believe the imposter is actually a Boomer man in his late 50s, early 60s. I think this should have its own thread.

Well until there is some further evidence or something I don't really see a reason for it. Besides as someone who at least used to use DA a lot back in the day, I can safely say that there's a lot of prodigies and other people who may be young but some really cool stuff. Besides an obession with old cartoons such as Don Bluth is super common. But if that is the case, well damm. But again, it comes off as kinda baseless.

So I've been doing research for a thread I'm writing but I've hit a brick wall.

Anyone here have detailed knowledge about the Burned Fur movement? Specifically about who was in it aside from the main 3 people. Been looking around but can't find what I'm looking for & I feel like the only way I can is if I talk to cows (which I dont want to do).

Archive.org has some captures of the ever-changing list of Burned Furs, that was displayed on the BF website:

Some caution should be taken with the list, as some claim BF rosters included names that were not actually BFs (eg: https://groups.google.com/d/msg/alt.lifestyle.furry/TKzjrfI3BYA/xsGSJMRShR8J)

Hm... didn't think they'd use their real names. That's bold. Unfortunately, that doesn't help me very much as I don't have this person's real name yet. All I have is age & country of origin. Not a whole lot to go off of but it be like that.

Why would you even want to cover old news that's roughly twenty years old at this point in a thread? Threads are for ongoing or recent events and people. Covering the Burned Furs will do absolutely nothing because there's nothing to update about it. It's been dead for almost two decades and no amount of necromancy will bring it back. There's a reason threads get locked when a cow dies and it's known that there will never be another update. This isn't a journalism site on the history of the furry fandom, it's a gossip website for 4chan rejects. You'll only look like a retard making a thread on something that's entirely non-existent at this point.

I'm not covering Burned Furs specifically, I'm trying to see if someone was in it because I can't track their internet history past 8 years & they seem like the type of person who would be in that group. If they were in that group, they most definitely had to have some type of sperg out which I want to document for their thread.

Sorry if I didn't make that clear in my initial post.

Hey hey hey
I’d refer to us more as 4chan refugees, thank you very much.

If there's one thing that list tells you it's just now much influence and reach the 'movement' didn't have. The whole thing is blown way, way out of proportion as to its importance.

As for the real names... It was the old days, people gave less of a fuck about that.

That's something I was surprised by. I really only ever heard of the movement in passing but you'd swear it was like the Boogeyman come to life. This just seems like a group of speds quarantined themselves and everyone got really pissed off about it.

To @Broadwings point — I’ll add that as with ANY furry cause or movement, the Burned Furs cause was never the point; the point was attention whoring and screaming ‘look at me!’ by the members of the group.

As far as the overreaction by other furries goes that’s easy to understand if you just remember that furry fandom is the subculture where very not-sexy males and way-too-crazy-to-stick-your-dick-in females can go and role play as utter yiff gods. Having a far more attractive than real life alter ego and using it to get laid has always been one of the key points of furry; what the Burned Furs were demanding basically was heard by the fandom as ‘no more sexytime for you!’. So naturally every other furry freaked out at that prospect.

The only suggestion I would have is to watch Fredrik Knudsens Down the rabbit hole on furries where he covers the Burned Furs and some of their correspondances in the latter part but I am assuming you have already seen it.

It's standard furry shit. All furries are bad except us. We're the good ones. Be one of us. Be one of the good ones by only banging your dog in private.

I dunno, a "where are they now?" retrospective on old furries would be interesting. As in, kids, look what will happen to you if you stay in the fandom.

Yiffing. Not even once.

One of the Burned Furs, Eric Blumrich, went on to be a fairly popular anti-Bush Flash animator. Another, Squee Rat (wikipedia), also still does anthro stuff but also doesn't have anything to do with the fandom any more. So far as I know, people who leave the furry fandom do better than people who stay in it.
