Did the gov't state they would be revisiting the travel ban here in the next few weeks? It's impossible to find out any info and I have to book flights for travel soon or cancel all my plans until Q4/20

Went out supply gathering yesterday since I realized we didn't have enough animal flesh to feast upon. I went to Walmart, Aldi, and Meijer. None of them had much to offer in the meat department but I did get a few other things that they were out of the last time I went. The trip there and back was like going out on a major holiday, with all the smaller businesses being closed.

Been the same in Bongland for a lot of people to. I've been telling folks to look for local butchers. They've got a lot of product in and are not doing much of a brisk trade because everyone's being dumb and going to the supermarkets.

unless you've gotten a fit test for an n95 mask, you're probably not helping anything by wearing one (wearing something other than a n95 doesn't do shit to airborne viruses).


Anyway- I have found out that chloroquine is over the counter in lots of parts of africa because malaria is so prevalent, that may explain why they haven't been in serious trouble like the rest of the world. I have heard it is easy to obtain in india as well.

It would seem that there is really no cause for alarm that we at 1,030 have pipped Japan with its 958 for Third Place Bronze. One silver lining to this mess is the air is so clean atm and at the perfect time of year when the trees start flowering too. With no aircraft flying and a large percentage of cars and trucks parked too the perpetual background miasma is gone. Just got done sitting on my porch and eating breakfast and it's just amazing. Encourage other kiwis to appreciate it while it's still around.
