they recommend going outside for walks as long as you aren't near people, at least where i am. living in the rural boonies is honestly probably the best thing for you during quarantine so you don't go stir-crazy from being locked up inside.

She is such a know it all. Cancer can easily metastasize and travel through the bloodstream to other parts of the body. Especially when surgery is involved. She is totally trivializing what her mum is going through. I know trying to rationalize it like this "its not that bad a cancer" might be a coping mechanism but she just comes off as sociopathic. If I were her, instead of trying to minimize what her mom is going through, she should accept that every last minute of time with her is a precious gift. Try to be nice to her like doing chores so she doesn't have to and can relax for once and enjoy the time she has left. Say everything you feel you need her to know before she's gone and watch movies you like together. Take lots of pictures. Instead of tardlette deadfish eye selfies that all look the same.

2. "Just take the uterus out"? My mother had a hysterectomy. It's not exactly easy on the body. She was pretty young and in great physical shape, and there was no motherfucking supervirus floating around, but watching her during the recovery was pretty scary. Just because Staph's hysterectomy (right?) went fine, that does NOT mean that all will be tickety-boo for a poor old lady who has the constant stressor of raising Stay Pissed Marshmallow Pants.

Her mother might not even be operable if she has a heart or a lung condition - and she definitely has the latter. Even if that's an easily curable type of cancer compared to lung or brain cancer, it's going to affect a frail, elderly woman more severely than a younger, generally healthy person. If, and that's a big if, she's even operable.
My grandmother got dizzy watering some of her plants, fell off a stool, and broke her forearm. The attending doctor told her she couldn't get a surgery to fix the bone, because she would die on the operating table.
I'm not sure Yarrow Brown Pants understands that each and every individual case is different both in medicine and social work, no wonder she can't even practice despite being an LMSW.
Makes me wonder how she got her master's degree.

i don't want to seem powerlevel-y or mad on the internet, but i kinda wish she'd get cancer or some kind of other serious, potentially deadly illness. she's had several relatives, including her own goddamn mother, get sick, and she still doesn't "get it." she's still selfish as always. if she got as sick as them, maybe, just maybe, she'd understand how serious this is, but she just can't grasp her simple little peanut brain around the fact that other people have feelings and emotions and medical issues as well. yeah, a hysterectomy didn't affect you at all, you healed fine, but it'll certainly be dangerous for your already immunocompromised, elderly mother to get on the operating table and go though chemo/radiation. jesus christ. she's the most autie autist on this entire forum, i swtg. i've said it before but she rivals chris when it comes to this "stuck in your own world" "not understanding other people" shit. she might even be worse because at least chris knows what he and his mom do is weird. steph is totally oblivious.
