Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

Every hardcore punk band were always massive faggots.

Fixed that for you.

The only good things that came out of punk culture were Siouxsie and the Banshees, GG Allin, Return of the Living Dead, and the creation of thrash metal (but speed metal had a bigger role in that last one)

Said it many times before and I'll say it once again: Punk died when GG Allin died

Punk was never really any good to begin with, unless you count some of the old Goth bands like Siouxsie and The Banshees or The Sisters of Mercy as part of it, but it became a lot more pretentious and insufferable after GG Allin died and Johnny Ramone became an irrelevant old geezer.

GG Allin and Seth Putnam were also very self-aware of the bullshit in punk culture, and GG Allin was one of those guys who was simultaneously a master troll and a massive lolcow.

Seth Putnam's death, The Misfits becoming a fashion accessory for mall goths in the 2000's and "Doomer Girl" art thots in the 2010's, and Ministry becoming Antifa stans after Charlottesville were just the final nails in the coffin.

lol [talk host]'s is bitching about the trumpbux because it might get spent on booze instead of helping the economy like booze is from some alien dimension that doesn't involve our economy

You clearly haven't paid attention to NoFx.

I'm in my late 40s, but when I was a teen I thought punk was rebellious and cool. And that the political commentary was deep.
When I hit my 20s I realized they were just regurgitating talking points against whatever Republican was in power anywhere in government and that punk bands had no real understanding of anything they were ranting about. It was just cool to always be "against the man" whoever the man was, especially if he was right wing. I grew out of punk super fast. before the end of the 80s.

Bonus joke: How many punks does it take to change a lightbulb? None. Punk never changed anything.
I noticed NOFX even mocked political punks in their heyday only to jump on that same bandwagon when Dubya took office in 2001. Also had it not been for American Idiot, Green Day would've remained under the gaydar. Should've seen Billie Joe Armstrong's barbaric reactions to any commenter on his Instagram so much as even saying anything good about Orange Man. Punk today is basically grown man yelling 40+ years later because he won't always have his way. 🤔 and for god's sake Armstrong is almost 50! Amazing how fast "punks" change their tunes

"If you just give poor people money they'll spend it on booze, the drunks" is typically something that would come out of the mouth of a conservative strawman character on a TV show, but poke the left just the tiniest bit and...

It's funny because liqour is the only thing you can find consistently where I live. I mean stocking up isn't a bad idea since it's the only way you can find reliable disinfectant anymore.

GODDAMNIT ICE CUBE YOU TO?‽ This is my reaction to my favorite celebs going full TDS. Christ almighty i wonder if views on trump would be sympathetic a decade after he's out of office. TDS can't last forever
Nah, he'll still catch shit whenever he's mentioned in any context no matter how long it has been. When people mention 2016+ they'll remember the time Orange Man was in office, even if it's like 2120.

I dunno, I'm having good fun with the idea despite not getting any money.
Man comparing Yang bucks and a Relief Program for the fact that the Government is closing down businesses with a government mandate is fucking stupid.

Punk was never really any good to begin with

A lot of the political punk from back in the day was like if a bunch of SJW's and Antifa members formed a band. Shit was legitimately horrible and don't even get me started on how so many "punks" were spoiled rich kids and literal trust fund brats who would label themselves working class and wear "Class War" patches while unironically using terms like "redneck" and "white trash" when referring to real working class people.

American Idiot is filled with the most juvenile, basic bitch bland criticisms, it's such a shame as Insomniac and Nimrod are great albums.

I think rap artists are the worst when it comes to this. At least with punk rock it hasn't been really big as a genre in awhile. But with rap it's everywhere, and is filled with the stupidest political hot takes I've ever heard. Especially Eminem a little while ago.

Rock and metal mostly has it right. The less political sperging the better.
