In my largish county of 200k+, our largest industry is health services. We have 3 large hospitals, one with world class heart surgeons. The reports I am hearing from my RN friends, especially those in the neo-nate sector, they are seeing more C-sections performed on women who are displaying any signs of flu/cold. The thinking is that if the infant does not pass thru the birth canal, they are less exposed to risk of Covid19 infection. This is good for the newborns, less so for the mother, since it requires a longer stay in the hospital for recovery. Wish I could give you better info. When I asked why the mothers are not being tested for WuFlu the common answer seems to be a matter of logistics.
With so many tests being performed here, the labs are overwhelmed, and babies come when they will, not giving a lot of lead time to perform the tests and get back results.
