How does one actually become aroused by anything Shadman draws? It is all so ugly.

He can draw pretty well when he tries, credit where it’s due. But it seems the issue is still that he’s trying to hold on to relevancy by drawing whatever is popular. I understand to an extent wanting to keep the money flowing because he does it for a living, but other than that he’s sold out.

I don’t see the reason why he draws *so much* incest/futanari if it’s not what’s currently popular, it seems like his fetish. Again he’s talented but drawing futanari or women with way oversized tits/armpit hair is off putting. If he stuck with the comedic themes of his VERY old art (like the comics that use sex as “humour” instead of straight up porn) along with his current style he’d do way better.

A lot of his art now in terms of context is throw away little small comics that seem like they're randomly ripped from a bigger story of a larger comic. The style moved away from his oddly unique grittiness to a simpler more clean style you see a lot of artists do to create faster work for faster money.

I think it leans more on a fetish thing he's drawn very provocative art utilizing the SS officer uniform. His brand of edginess is more politically charged and shock value people make fun of nazis so much that is has ceased being edgy so I doubt he uses it purely to arise people.

I read the first 30 pages trying to figure out why people get upset over his pedo stuff so much but not over Japanese lolicon and gave up. I get that people are going to say because it's based on real people, but aren't all human drawings theoretically based on how real people look? I'm sure Japanese artists also base their drawings on real life humans, even if it's not on specific celebrities.

Unrelated to my question but an interesting topic, what would happen if the drawings were more realistic, to the point they were almost indistinguishable from real life photos? Would that be against the law even though they're drawings? We're almost approaching that point, technology-wise. This doesn't just apply to cp of course, but to all illegal photographies, though I don't recall people going to jail over posession of pictures other than in cases of cp.
Maybe this is better fitted for deep thoughts.

Shad politically speaking is probably 'I Don't Care' aka, a Centrist. He really isn't that political and the most political he ever was during the 2016 Elections where he drawn art of Trump and Hillary as lolis or something, but those were pretty simple and safe jokes, memes and jabs at the whole thing. In 2016 everyone memed and joked about Trump either exaggerating how wacky he was for positive or negative purposes.
