Anyway, the main point of me making this post was as an image dump. As I'm going back through the early posts, I found this link to an Imgur repo of a bunch of WeChat police logs (y'know, back 950 pages ago) that are pretty useful from a provenance point of view re: China's early response to the coronavirus. So I'm dumping all the images here in the thread so they're backed up on the KF server. I'm flabbergasted that they were even still there on the Imgur when I checked just now, to be honest; was fully expecting that to deadlink when I clicked it.
UPDATE 2.5 - Spicy fermented food seems to be having an extremely positive effect, flatulance aside. My claggyness and cough was almost entirely eliminated by the kimchi/sriracha chicken waffles I had for lunch, and my energy levels seem almost back to normal as of now. That being said, if this truly is the chinese bat-AIDs it is probably an extremely mild case, and I have yet to experience any gastrointestinal symptoms so do not read this as anything other than anecdotal shit for minor suspected wu-flu

In the UK, I am in the Midlands, the lockdown is not going to work cafes and places are still open, I feel this is more contagious than what is being let on. The good news is the rationing in stores is working so it is a lot easier to get supplies like milk as long life is still hard to find. At least you can get bread now so you can make toast lol. Pasta is great and all but variation is the spice of life.
My workplace (cyber security centric) has closed for the time being until further notice not fired but just closed the full time staff can work from home which is great. Our boss is saying 2 months minimum though. So I have been in lock down mentality for about a week now. There are still some pubs open like big chains and these places will become hot beds for infection people are not understanding to stay inside and only leave for supplies. Do that for 4 weeks and it will probably stave it.
I think the Chinese will cause a second wave as people are still travelling but these people are not thinking for the many. Color me conspirationnist, but it seems to me , it's been brought to light that, for all the problems we had in labs (stolen shit everywhere around the "western" world, like vials and whatnot, all of it commited by chinese nationals that were binationals or had work visa's) like we have way too many binationals or Chinese originated scientists / medics like these on the photo in these very essential / civilisation survival entities... A lot of drugs are pretty fucking deadly if taken at a dose of 2 grams. Some medications are dosed in fucking MICROGRAMS. Actually I'd bet you there's more drugs and medications than not that would cause harm if you took a dose of two grams. Nobody's panicking over that shit. Acetaminophen can start causing liver damage at sustained doses of 1500 grams or more, nobody's acting like Tylenol is some kind of poisonous murder drug. Some drugs when taken with other contraindicated medications or with certain pre-existing conditions can kill you pretty god damned fast, likewise nobody is saying any of those are an execution drug. That's why being a pharmacist or a doctor or a pharmacologist isn't easy, these people have to study for fucking years to figure out exactly how these substances work and what they're contraindicated with. I'll trust the people who know what the fuck they're talking about over some pencil-necked paper-pusher at fuckin' CNN any day. Additionally, Trump nor anyone else ever said that chloroquine was a perfect solution or that it was some kind of panacea. All I heard said was that they're considering it, using it for people who are already bad-off anyway and trying to analyze the results.
