Unfortunately though, I can't see you getting a break from it any time soon.Since I'm making another post in this thread, I'll link again to the (work in progress!) coronavirus archive that @Ellesse_warrior, @Token Weeaboo and myself have been working on amidst archiving everything in the backlog (i.e. archiving sources, particularly the Twitter ones, and also a lot of the Youtube/Twitter videos. They're slowly being put up on a BitChute I've set up.)

Anyway, the main point of me making this post was as an image dump. As I'm going back through the early posts, I found this link to an Imgur repo of a bunch of WeChat police logs (y'know, back 950 pages ago) that are pretty useful from a provenance point of view re: China's early response to the coronavirus. So I'm dumping all the images here in the thread so they're backed up on the KF server. I'm flabbergasted that they were even still there on the Imgur when I checked just now, to be honest; was fully expecting that to deadlink when I clicked it.
Most of you guys are doing it great and I'm preaching to the choir a little bit, but always remember to upload images directly to Kiwi Farms where you can!

So, on the good news side, caches of resources from small businesses finally making their way to healthcare and old people homes, and the trickle seems to be ramping up into a full blown flow. Masks, ventilation, filters, 3d printed parts, hand sanitizers, all sorts of shit. Hilarious that this is all initiatives taken by the people, not the government. As always in spain the general population pushes forward as soon and hard as it can while our politicians scream at us for doing so. Fuckting assholes.

so i had an interesting conversation with a friend while playing cs:go.
we bounced facts and ideas back and forth and our conclusion was that the projections and models are complete BS. their models would be the ideal growth of phages in a homogenised bacterial culture grown from one CFU(aka very limited genetic variations). our estimations(and some voodoo math from him) came to 20-40% as upper cap for infections and not 60-80% as a worst case without any lock downs. maybe even thats to high since there is alot of data out there that suggests that alot of people just dont get infected, even if they are in closed rooms with infected for some time. And he just had to make up a data set for distribution of population based on the equivalent of county numbers and not on a settlement basis.

all the stores in the Terminal I work in is shutting down.
I think they're actually going as far as closing down all the stores in the airport.
Us employess are setting up to bring food and put them in our lockers so we can cook our own food here.

The news coming out of New York City is not good. Was listening on NPR and apparently even people who are hooked up to the ventilators are having a bad time. They have to keep the patients entirely restrained because otherwise they will thrash and struggle and in total delerium think they are either drowning or the ventilator is actually choking them. Or both. Even max safe settings are having limited effects on some patients, and nurses have to constantly come in to make sure blood doesn't build up in the ventilator tubes. 
The doctor they were interviewing also said the Government should start considering adding Morphine and Valium to the emergency stockpile "in order to help stop respiratory distress in patients who won't be able to get a ventilator". Translation: Assisted suicide. Just....

I don't think this survey from Italy means anything but it still is interesting. According to Reuters, a survey of 3,200 dead showed men accounted for 70.6% of the deaths and women 29.4%

It might have something to do with men having larger lungs with more surface area for the virus to colonize.
Edit: or higher oxygen requirements due to more body mass. Maybe just more likely to get the bug from higher volume of air exchange.
