I suppose I should have clarified that I was mostly just musing out loud, not so much trying to pin exact emotions onto Malan. We don't even know this bruh.

However, Chantal is very much a dumb, shallow moron who only seems to grasp the (incorrect) concept with her all-or-nothing style thinking and deformed idiot mind, that ONLY Love/Adoration and then pure Hate exist. She looovveess herself, she loves food, her subscribers love her....everyone and everything else is a HAYDUR. So I imagine this is a shift now in how she is seeing her precious Bibi.

I've certainly never seen stank faces or twitchy knives like THAT before....

Part of me is wondering if Bibi was always like this and the breakup and moveout is just him finally releasing all pretenses of fucks. I mean, Toad speculates their relationship started going south once Chantal started doing YouTube full time.

Chantal leaving the workforce and doing Youtube full time as her "job" is obviously at the heart of the issue but there are a lot of factors that most likely led to the break up. Her physical and mental degradation have both been evident in the last two years. She has been gaining a lot of weight no matter how much she denies it and that has brought new medical issues and physical limitations that she has definitely used to not help around the house. Let us not even talk about the mental aspect where she has developed crazy ticks, depression, decreasing hygiene, constant mood swings... Which have led her to rely more and more on junk food to self-medicate.

The way i see it now, Bibi has been a very understanding and patient partner. He put up with an increasingly deranged woman a lot longer than any person should. He saw that she was unwell and gave her more than enough time to seek the help she needs to pull herself together. Instead of realizing this and being grateful, she simply decided to abuse his trust and push him until he could no longer justify his patience. He sees the wall rapidly approaching as Chantal is nearly bed-bound and he is getting out before she becomes his problem.

Any KFer who ended a relationship knows it’s not always as easy as saying “I’m done!” and leaving. There is the technical issue of moving out, but first there is also mourning the relationship, and with that comes denial, anger, guilt, and other emotions that can take time to process.

Bibi seems like a kind and patient guy, probably a little too stoic as well... I think for a while he was ok with the situation, escaping at work or in his online games. Plenty of people can spend years, decades and even the rest of their life with a partner they can tolerate and for all we know, Bibi could have been one of them.

But I said it and I still stick to my theory : it’s the hysterectomy that nailed the coffin, and not because Chantal can’t have kids anymore. While the hysterectomy itself is kind of a big surgery, Chantal recovered quite fast, to the point it was speculated she faked the surgery. But ironically, it’s the relatively small incision that caused havoc. An incision that should have been shut (so, able for her to shower) in about 10 days, and totally healed in less than a month took over 3 months of care, including two full months of not showering, all because Chantal couldn’t stop gorging on food to the point she literally ripped her incision open and ended at the ER.

Bibi may be stoic but he proved he isn’t an idiot. He can see like the rest of us how Chantal mental health is going to shit since she works as an influencer, and how her physical health is declining at the same speed. He realized his future was to become Chantal’s caretaker, or getting the fuck out.

Chantal keeps reiterating that she's depressed and that this COVID-19 pandemic is making her anxious, but why? She rarely ever went outside unless it was for food. People within Canada are still going to the grocery store or ordering take-out/delivery, which is what Chantal's daily routine consists of.
It's not like she got laid off of work, so the depression comments make no sense. She might be trying to use her "depression" as an excuse for when she binges on camera again.
Also, 500k Canadians applied for Employment Insurance within a week in Canada since so many people have been temporarily laid off due to COVID-19. People are literally filling out paperwork for benefits and trying to figure out how they're going to support their families during this pandemic, yet Chantal is "depressed." All she has to do is practice social distancing. lol
