Listening to it now, about 30 mins in. Jim has been reading. He's talking about things like the Harvard professor that was arrested, bringing up just-in-time manufacturing. He's not wrong that the response has been shockingly untimely. Only places I know that were good at locking things down so that infections are at a consistent, manageable rate are Singapore and Malta, and they have the benefit of being tiny islands. Europe took the piss with this virus then locked down when shit went out of control. Same time, Dick's not wrong that companies and governments are going to use this to lock down civil liberties/restrict access. Look at youtube and twitter and their sudden campaign to "stop the spread of misinformation" (ie- listen to the narrative we tell you).

I was there at the time. He was having his normal morning interactions when he got restricted.


It didn't last long, few minutes at most. He did have to remove at least one tweet, however. The only reason I was able to snap the embedded picture was due to having the tweet loaded in another tab.


A interesting side effect of his ghostban status is that when he retweeted me I did not get a notification.
