Here we have spanishbcops doing their duty by aprehending a group of rufians that ignored quarantine in order to flood the streets with an illegal protest. Shame on them.

Jokes aside, read the "america, land of the free home of the fucking insane" spoiler I left a few posts back for more info on what I mean. In spain going to a village and asking the locals for directions incurs the risk of regaining the concept of time 2 days afterwards having learned every damned minutia about the region's history and told the locals every damned last fact of your ancestors. In america going to a village and asking the locals for directions incurs the risk of being shot. I mean, of course both sides have exceptions, but that's the general norm. But that's the general jist. Outside of cops and farmers only ones with guns around here are people who've pissed off the mafia or some shit like that, except for the eventual moroccan-druglord-funded mafia who tends to last very little before being curbstomped, (the big ones know better than relying on guns, they get the cops sniffing fast and prison sentences much harsher), and no one gives much of a shit, fuck most people don't even carry any knifes or self defense shit outside of the eventual martial artist, people just assume if you're attacked you should scream for help and try to gtfo. It's like in Burgerland you don't even consider you live in a society (memes aside), people here expect and are willing to give help, which is something I almost never see there, it's like it's everyone for themselves. This climate is toxic, dude, I just can't imagine that kinda paranoia.
I guess it comes with the emphasis on suburbs and lack of public sector that you'd feel that way. I mean I've lived in multiple cities now and I've never had a hospital or a police station more than 15 minutes on foot away. And no one outside of villages or extremely rich areas lives in anything other than flats. So I can't imagine not having other humans to call for aid if shit gets rough. But over there it's like no one even considers the option.
I know it's bullshit by the fact it has no sources and is the new york times. But I'mma say... If Iran's navy got bombed the only cost would be the human lifes. Like, those mofos only offer the state a SENSE of worth, they're nowhere near enough to deal with even a large enough contingent of pirates, much like Iran is barely enough of a government to qualify as a country.

Thank you! Almost every single time I've had a nasty viral infection, I've come down with strep throat (a bacterial infection). It is ridiculously common for that kind of stuff to happen. The two cases that come to mind are when I had the shingles as a kid, and when I had mono about eight years ago.
Also, to everyone who has posted the side effects to "own Drumpf": Everyone is saying that if your dose is 2 grams, it will kill you. DUH. You take 2 grams of most types of medicine as a single dose, and it will kill you, as it's an incredibly large dose of meds.
Everyone is apparently a medical expert now because Orange Man Bad. I get it: criticize him if you wish ... But they're doing it in such a moronic way.

I hope you're right but, outside of the violent crime rates (which are high as shit comparing USA with almost any country in europe), you know, one of the first things you ran out of was ammo. And even kiwis were talking about getting guns. Over here people just bought all the roticery chickens and tried to turn their homes into toilet paper hoards with beds installed.
For those on the edge. I followed this advice and I can't recomend it enough. On top of having to read less shit it has the side effect of making the pages of people warring against him hilarious as you only get half the conversation, it's amazing.

It’s probably a number of things. Anyone who is seriously ill can die from the most innocuous of colds or infections. Rhe very frail and elderly as well. This virus, like many others, puts strain on the system and enough strain will result in breakage. Even the young and healthy can succumb if conditions are right. Like the fit young military man who dropped dead after undertaking strenuous training with a mild virus.
It is interesting how some get NO symptoms though. I suspect that age and condition isn’t the only factor. Again that’s not unusual - our cells have considerable diversity of receptors and our immune systems are all a little different. Some people just don’t get stuff like norovirus, and some drop instantly with it. This is how selection pressure works; on variation in a population
