I saw the charges and honestly, they're not that serious. Class B misdemeanors aren't usually going to result in much, unless it is a habitual offender. I know Russ had that thing in High School, but besides that, is there any other record?

He will probably get some bench probation, which means he probably would not even have to see a PO. Without poweleveling too much I used to work in the system in another state (not Utah). And misdemeanors usually do not result in jail time unless they're habitual offenders. I know Skordas is involved and they can try to bring up prior uncharged bad acts, but Rusty's attorney will probably get that shut down. I am sure Rusty's attorney will tell him to keep his mouth shut, because if he opens it, things are gonna be worse for him. They will probably bring up what a tard he is as a mitigating circumstance and that he doesn't know any better.

This is interesting, but I have a feeling not a whole lot will come from this. Now, if he gets in trouble again, stand by.

I'd be pretty sure it pleads to something and that Russhole's lawyer pulls a Rob Ford "adult autistic child" defense and he gets a deferred adjudication or, if Skordas can convince them to give the adjudication more teeth, a suspended sentence that just goes into effect instantly if Russ fucks up.

These justice courts, small town courts of limited jurisdiction, are not as powerful as district courts, the courts of general jurisdiction of Utah. In fact, you can request a trial de novo (a new trial) of any trial in these courts, much as you could retry a small claims case in a district court.

This particular court appears to be the fiefdom of one Judge Reed S. Parkin, who is handling this case. So it is probably run more or less how he feels like it should be. He seems to be a pretty nice guy who knows what he's doing, but I wouldn't expect him to be a hanging judge to Russ, and the absolute worst he could do would be a brief period of incarceration, which I'm not expecting.

I'm thinking the best likely case is he gets some kind of suspended sentence such that he gets a week or a month if he fucks up. Possibly he gets probation but with an actual conviction (like the standard tard sentence Chris-Chan gets). And best case (from Russ's point of view) a deferred adjudication where it just goes away if he is a good boy for a year or whatever.

I’ll be happy if Chucklefuck for the Defense peels back the veil on Russ’ mental disorders as part of mitigating circumstances. We’ve discussed this to death but it would be interesting to have various suspicions confirmed.
