Tattoos are everywhere. With how far tattooing has come as an art there is really no excuse for there to be so much bad work.

Yet here we are.

Some of my favorite categories include:

Artists will often quote an extortionate price in order to make these people fuck off. My studio of choice will do a face tattoo as the person's first, or a genital tattoo, or some weird sexual shit, but it will cost like £1000 and you have to wait a week and then come back. That's usually enough to make most of them abandon their hopes of ever having "fuck the cops" on their face or a big spunking dick on their hand for life. Occasionally it backfires because the person wants it so badly that the price doesn't phase them and they happily cough up the money. (Well, "backfires" in the sense that this awful shit gets associated with them forever. It also means they get paid a grand for £100 worth of work.)

I'd guess that's what happened here. Dude probably paid an arm and a leg for this. Actually, he quite literally paid an arm, because now he can't show that arm to anyone ever again.

The “asshole pricing” is definitely a huge part of it. Other times the artists are just so tired of tattooing pocket watches and dream catchers that they’re happy to do fucked up stuff. Probably the former in this case though because it’s a super messed up idea.

I have some celebrity offerings as well as a tattoo I saw on a meme site when I was younger and that always comes to mind when I think of bad tattoos.
