Or for that matter that the original report about the 41% suicide rate was actually about suicidal ideation and was self-reported from within a group of histrionic narcissists. To be fair I think these spoiled dunces killing themselves would be a benefit to society because majority of the time, they're just a nuisance rather than a benefit.

So are they worried about people seeing how fucking exceptional their politics are and becoming upset with how they're indoctrinating people? Because they should have thought about that earlier. The only reason academia gets away with what it does is because nobody outside the Cathedral can see what goes on.

It's a really revealing reaction because it shows that they're afraid that what they teach will either

1. cause massive outrage and backlash with parents of their students and the public at large, causing even more progressive parents to avoid their classes and possibly even their entire schools, thus threatening their paychecks for the first time ever.
2. be proven objectively false. Like they're lying about objective historical events or science and once they're exposed to scrutiny outside of their ivory tower circle jerks, their propaganda will be torn to shreds.

It just goes to show how bad it must be inside these institutions. On the outside we've got trans kids and drag queen story hour, and they still know that what they're teaching will be considered socially unacceptable.

I've had a professor who wasn't super woke and annoying, but he definitely had white guilt and slightly injected it into his lectures.
It was bearable and even relevant at times when talking about stuff like Abu Ghraib, but it was definitely inappropriate.
K-12 teachers act with more professionalism, and they don't get paid nearly as much.

why don't these professors just record the lecture and email it to their students?
I know they had to completely change on such short notice, but that just seems like the obvious way to go.

All they need to do to handle it is to assign written responses to the lecture material instead of class discussion. Anyone dumb enough to talk to a professor like that won't be able to pass the class if you require them to write down their thoughts. Took an online class once and the class "discussions" were in an online forum and were graded for grammar as well as content and you were required to not only post your own response but also comment on the responses of 4 other students as well. That is a lot more work than just a verbal class discussion. Fellow students will be pissed at those who force the professor to go that route.
