OT: I am watching a longplay (19 hrs one-shot stream) from a finnish guy going by the name DraQu on Twitch atm. This guy is a speed runner and also a fucking lunatic. He was going into DE blind, selected Nightmare as default dif., did every Slayer Gate up to the fifth first try (with having to use two 1-ups in the fifth), wrecked the Marauder and the Doom Hunter first try also and struggled only in the first half hour or so a bit when he had to adapt to the slightly modified playstyle. He had to stop playing the campaign after nine hours because he hit the embargo limit (no online play after reaching the Sentinel Prime stage). Instead of calling it a day this crazy finn simply switched to the master levels, also on Nightmare. Later on he switched back to the campaign after the release window for Europe opened and finished the game. Seeing something like this and seeing little Dave cringe and moan and slur and bitch and whine brings a smile to my face.
The sadder thing is that thanks to Jasper, he's literally doubled the amount of beings that have previously been at his birthday the last few years. The saddest thing is Phil seems to be completely oblivious to all that and tries to drag the "celebration" out for a full week just to try and get his viewers to pity him enough to throw extra money his way. And I think it's safe to assume said money isn't going to paying off his debt/taxes/anything important and will instead go into mobile gaming, the one thing that actually makes Phil happy.
Because he only plays Morrowind once a week and he forgets, Phil has to ask how to do the same things on every session now.
This is a completely normal situation.

Some people don't have the self-confidence to start out on their own for (a) fear of failure and (b) fear that nobody would care. Papavera knows that DSP has an audience of 300-500 people on any given night. He may feel that if he made his own Twitch channel that he would get no viewers.
You see this in journalism all the time. People are willing to work for free for bigger blog sites with an audience, but they won't just create their own blogs and work for themselves because they don't think they can get their own audience.

I think it's simpler than that. DSP doesn't want to do anything for anybody but himself. Look how he just stopped the "top contributor gets to make a Minecraft statue" thing. As much as he hates us, DSP doesn't "owe" us anything. If someone gives him money, then he is obligated to do something for them, and he hates them for it.

I think part of is him trying to milk every cent possible. At the same time he's gotta be under a lot of stress. Years of people trashing you and pointing out every lie you've ever told. And now this bankruptcy stuff comes out basically exposing Phil for what he truly is as well as the realization that he lied on court documents and even if he doesn't get in any trouble he's gonna be spending the rest of his life paying off all the useless shit he bought to try and bolster himself and flex on detractors. The drinking every night just makes it worse. If I were him the least I'd do is quit drinking and switch to CBD/weed. Get some good rest so you can gameplan a little better and start patching up this sinking ship.

At least the twitch thots promise what they deliver. Send $5 and you see some titties. Maybe a gaping asshole or gagging on a dildo if they're the kinky type. And they at least pretend to like you and will have fun and positive interactions with you even if you aren't dropping money. I might drop a couple bucks if I'm bored and buzzed. And it's going to a good cause. I'm all for supporting single moms.
