How about you worry about actual fucking Solutions to the problem we are talking about in this thread instead of you reeing about "THE WAL-MART" like the stupid Union Shills that have legit come into my place of work to harass me while I am trying to do my job to sign up for their stupid ass fucking union scam. How about you worry about the actual businesses and people being affected by this.

Holy crap I got caught up in the thread, I'm so amazed I did it.

So this is more on topic, my sister said that she got news from her boss at the Memphis Zoo that they might be going back to work soon. That's good, I think? Who really knows at this point.

Alright fuck it I'll tell you the next guvernmental focus since now it's been corroborated by the news.

You might have noticed I am on high salt again. Well. It's because as I told you they sent the army to help old folks residences. Well. When they entered some of them they found out dead people in the same habitat as living people, and cases of dehidration.

We've had a death spike but it's not really a spike as they're not from today. It just happened to be found today. Wanna know what the fuck happened?

They quarantined the fucking personal last friday and didn't bother sending reinforcements till today, that's what fucking happened! There's been homes that have had ZERO supervision for the entire weekend, those that had asked for aid and were basically told to shove it.

And now the fucking public prosecutors are out like hounds trying to push the blame unto anyone.

I found out a bit before the news because I just recieved info from the union that they're trying to save some nurse's ass, because the prosecutors are now trying to jail them for "inexcusable negligency" even though they've been asking for help since fucking friday!

This is EVERYONE doing this. Except Vox and Podemos but that's because Vox has no province charges and Podemos only has Cadiz which didn't have this issue. ALL other provinces even fromthe independists have done the same shit and reacted the same way.

I couldn't even believe it at first and didn't wanna say it here after the last gaffe but now I know it's real. This is what they're doing. They fucked up, they were told they were fucking up, and now they're trying to jail those that tried to help to dump the guilt of them. Welcome to spain.

Got it. Those people should be cut checks. But not just one. Lots of fucking checks. Low earners in New England should have their heating bills forgiven. Etc.

Companies should be given incentives to not furlough or fire employees right now.

Get to the root of the problem, to keep people in their homes and family together and healthy.

Food pantries should open. Grab your box of goods and get the fuck out of the stores.

And the banks need to forgive their mortgage, and the landlord's mortgage.

The burden should be on the billionaires, not on the guy stocking shelves or struggling to keep his family-owned taquería afloat.

Actually SOLVE the problems, moving forward because this Wondervirus is never going away.

Nigel gives a very Prime Ministerial statement wearing his old geezer shirt from the bottom of the landing of his suburban house. Thanks to Duverger's Law we got a choice between Boris and Corbyn and had no possibility of UKIP or The Brexit Party getting even a single MP. He's so politically isolated he's essentially given up on starting The Reform Party and we'll have a Labour/Conservative duopoly in power for all eternity. Since no one on the right mind would risk a Labour government at the moment and the Lib Dems are almost as screwed as The Brexit Party that in practice means whoever is Conservative party leader is PM and all we can do is hope they don't fuck up as May, Cameron, and Major did.

Attended a get together this weekend. Folks from hospitality and service. All lost their jobs. Restaurants/bars are all shut down. Other industries such as in home techs and installers shuttered their doors on friday after work when the techs all dropped off their trucks. People drank all weekend and said "At least I don't have the WuFlu" so there was that.

The companies I support are mostly healthcare and tech related so I'm not too fantastically worried they want to cull their employees remotely because fuck cleaning all those laptops when they get back I'm gonna have to hire bunny suited techs and a 50 gallon drum of 99% alcohol to sterilize these things.

Really, people do not understand numbers.
Walmart does 1.5 trillion in sales. Their net income for the year was 9.8 billion. Think how slim that margin is. Now imagine all those walmart workers getting 2-5$ an hour wage increases, along with paid health insurance and paid time off. That would utterly bankrupt the company.

The ACA fucked over places like walmart, ironically. Used to be you could work there "part time" for 60-70 hours a week. However much was available. Then you could pay for doctors and medication out of pocket with cash, usually at a heavily discounted rate. It had problems, sure, but hard workers could make it work.

Then Obamacare flew in like a diseased shoe. Now you were limited to 34 hours a week, oh and you have to be on call all the time because we have to play a constant balancing game with hours so you cant hold a second job so sucks to be you now. And now many doctors refuse to take cash, some still will, but especially specialists require you to have insurance, because $$$. So now the part time worker is double screwed, and wal mart ends up with more churn and less useful employees which harms sales and drives up costs.

Retail workers are low skill with tons of available laborers. Nothing against people whom work retail for whatever reason, but the reality is when there is an oversupply of workers in a field that takes no specialized skill to get into wages will not be high, neither will benefits.
I fully believe healthcare should be widely available, but the way for obamacare to do that would have simply been to open public enrollment into medicare before age 65 for a pemium while enabling medicare to negotiate drug prices.

But that was cut because the democrats couldnt have someone threaten their corporate masters, and now you have a huge selection of people forced to work hours in jobs where they cannot get by financially, forded to work when sick, and helping to spread things like coronavirus. Under the old system, workers who worked hard would have money from extra hours hopefully socked away for a rainy day, the ones who didnt work hard are fucked regardless. Under the current system all the part time workers are fucked.
