It took him about a year to switch from "Ha ha, dumb right-wingers made jokes about demons and pretended that left-wingers are angry over it, haha, right-wing dumb and stupid" to "Why are you still making that joke, stop it, it's pissing me off, it's problematic!"

I remember something about right wingers wanting to use the Punisher skull as a symbol but even then, the Punisher skull logo is a different thing from all other skulls. Even then, both sides are culturally appropriating a man and the skeltins he loves.
It really makes it funny looking back at that video. Granted I haven't seen the whole thing because these types on either side of the spectrum just sound more like droning and possible circlejerks but it is funny to see how Shaun would downplay or ignore anyone that was legit buggered by "mortally challenged" only to go on how the devs are unfunny or how they overdid "mortally challenged." He can say how it's a poor joke but he should at least realize it's all from a megacorp trying to put a positive spin on something that literally killed a huge chunk of humanity to the point that those resisting are throwing it back in the faces of the demons and the corporation that's kissing the ass of hell. If anything, mortally challenged may as well be a dog whistle that isn't really getting the anti-sjws enabled but rather is just a dog whistle pissing off or buggering the people that think it has to be enabling the right wing idiots or is trying to put down the less able.
That's pretty much the name of the game with this crowd. Take a look at the typical make up of Antifa, if they're not the odd drug addled Crustpunk bum to act as their main footsloggers, it's people just like them: Trustpunks that come from well-to-do families living in lilly white gated communities who like to pretend they're less privileged and wealthy than they actually are so they can masquerade as the proletariat while they absolutely shit all over the actual proletariat

I think he has a problem with the fact that propaganda being pushed by the elites being internalized by the freedom fighters. Basically it's less that corporations "co-opt" PC culture, more that they push it so openly and willingly. They REALLY hate being called pushers of the status quo.
The thing with the freedom fighters in Eternal is that they're mostly the part of the UAC that hasn't been corrupted into being hell cultists, so that's kind of why they're still in the habit of using the PC corporatespeak
Well he also says in his video that Olivia is being driven by greed and profit and that Hell and the demons are more a force of nature rather than blatantly evil. It's about the level of research you can come to expect from Shaun.
I haven't played the game so I would of assumed the freedom fighters would mostly just be people not part of the UAC that would use mortally challenged to mock whatever corporatespeak the UAC tried to push out. All that said, one could at least expect mortally challenged to be a running gag that could run out of its laughs. Still that could get some people screeching ableism and being too focused on their dogwhistle to realize the how empty the corporatespeak is.
In my personal observations, it really does feel like these same people that get their asses chapped over corporatespeak in a game where 80% of mankind's population gets fucked by a demon invasion are the same price that get their asses chapped over the national origins and nomenclature of a super flu
They try so hard to act like they're not out of touch, elitist or corporatist. Less so with the misanthropy, but they pretend it's only directed at 'the wrong people' so it's OK.
