Hmm...

2. FEMA has 20k ventilators that haven't been used in years... spread out across the entire US. Beyond just finding the damned htings, they need technicians to rebuild and repair them.

What is your source on this? Can't find anything stating that.

Even if that is true, uhhh they should probably get to finding and fixing them.

Odds of a second wave or getting tagteamed by the hantavirus?

odds of at least one more Outbreak in China? Very high, I doubt they ever actually extinguished it.
Odds of a novel hantavirus tag teaming? Lower, much lower. It’ll probably stay local but one day one of them will cross the species barrier and become capable of human to human transmission. It’s happened before

“The English sweating sickness caused five devastating epidemics between 1485 and 1551, England was hit hardest, but on one occasion also mainland Europe, with mortality rates between 30% and 50%. The Picardy sweat emerged about 150 years after the English sweat disappeared, in 1718, in France. It caused 196 localized outbreaks and apparently in its turn disappeared in 1861.”

No one knows what caused it, but some clues point to something linked to an ecological cycle and this possibly a rodent based vector, interestingly, it predominantly targeted the rich. It’s mentioned a few times in Shakespeare’s works and it had significant effects on English history at the time. Anne Boleyn nearly died of it and Henry 8th (noted diseaseophobe) was terrified of it
Here’s a nice article on it for anyone who fancies a read.
Emergent plagues and their impact on human history are fascinating.

So, last night and today my temp hasn’t dropped below 38, I haven‘t smelt a damn thing short of a soiled nappy in several days, am barely awake, and today I have randomly fainted twice.

uh oh kiwi bros

(also please blame my fever for my autistic recent posting, sorry)

Non-doctorly advice:

Please don't laugh. For me (can only speak for myself here) Gatorade seems to be something of a miracle drug. Every time I feel sick or headachy or shaky or off balance, I mix myself a Gatorade from the powdered formula, take a couple of Tylenol and a Sudafed.

Grab a snack, follow with a glass of water, rest for 2 hrs and you might feel better.

If you have kidney problems talk to your doc but otherwise it might be worth a try.

Okay okay okay...

WTF...

There is clearly something going on in China right now...

Looks like there is a LOT of wind created by the rise of temperatures / Fires all across China and creates climate irregularities from the heat and winds crossing from these videos (roof blown up, people pushed around ,weak ass building collapsing from high winds)

Or is it all disinfo ? Fake ? I don't know what to think orbelieve anymore, after we got a total blackout of anything coming out of China now we getting something ?

From this satellite view you can see that large areas of China are on fire :

Almost like the whole fucking China is on fire, did the fucking CCP started to cremate whole cities to contain this shit ? WHAT ??‽!!

Other climate irregularities in China proving half of it's country is catching fire or has issues with fresh wind meeting hot wind created from huge chunk of the country on fire :

I do not know how to download videos from Twitter. Could some kind person please do this? And also could you explain how you did it so myself and others can help out in the future?

Health and Child Care Minister Obediah Moyo confirmed the death of the prominent journalist, Makamba. He was 30-years-old. Makamba was the second person to test positive for the virus in Zimbabwe."
did they burn down the ventilators like they burned down their food supply?

youtube-dl works on Twitter videos too. You may have to set the option to choose your own filename (because the filename will include the entire text of the Tweet otherwise, and that may be too long for a filename)

You can use a site like twdownload.com or use youtube-dl.

If you use twdownload, choose the highest resolution option that shows up.

is that why I get random errors when trying to download Twitter videos? I thought they were blocking them from being downloaded now.

Its got what plants crave!

Seriously though, Gatorade has lots of electrolytes in it, and if you are sweating and dehydrated, you need them in addition to water. A mistake a lot of people make when they are sick is just chug water and nothing else, and wonder why they recover so slowly/feel awful. I dont particularly like the stuff but bought an 8 pack along with 2 gallons of orange juice for this exact purpose, if I get sick I'm going to that stuff immediately.

In local news our medical college announced they will be using their pathology lab to process test results today in the hopes of getting test numbers up. Not sure how that will help when supposedly swabs are the limiting factor, but hey if its helps I say go for it.

DPD 911 Staffer Dies Due to COVID-19

No underlying health problems reported. 38 years old.

Archive here
They never mention whether these people are overweight when mentioning "underlying health problems". If I had to guess, guy was a patrol cop who spent much of his day in his car. Cardio health can be really hard to maintain when you are stuck in a car all day eating fast food for lunch.

Of course its also possible this guy was just really unlucky. RIP

Drone footage filmed on Tuesday shows the construction of a new coronavirus hospital in the village of Golokhvastovo in the Moscow region, some 50 kilometres (31 miles) from the capital. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said earlier that around 40 percent of the construction work was already complete.
