I've heard a lot of dumb shit, and this is some of the dumbest shit I've ever heard.
CQ/HCQ make the inside of your cells more alkaline, which viruses don't like. They rely on acidic pH.
It has nothing to do with nanomachines you dumbass.
The danger with these untested methods and cures, is that they are every addictive to the uninformed. And they are dangerous because people who have an agenda behind the "cure" have every motivation for pushing it, even if it doesn't work. Quackery is particularly dangerous for the sick, who are surrounded by impatient people, or policymakers, for that matter.
Ok, here is an extreme example. Imagine that we were a deeply Catholic society. You probably could complete a credible study, on the power of prayer. For example, your hypothesis is, that saying 20 Hail Mary's and "Glory be's" before eating a meal helps manage obesity-related diabetes.
And it may work.
But the real mechanism behind it, might be that is slows your impulse to grab everything and fill up your plate, and gobble all the food down. So yes it is an excellent way of managing Diabetes ...
So jumping to the conclusion that the obese and the diabetic don't have that special connection to God, or are just not devout enough, is dangerous.
And if the Hail Mary's work for you, can you ditch the Metformin or insulin or whatever they take?
Or that putting bleach on a counter slows the transmission of influenza viruses. Sure ... But do you drink the bleach to clean out your own system?
Or peddling vitamin cures. It is very easy to tell your sick kid or mother to take megadoses of vitamins because some "guru" or disenfranchised doctor suggests it, if not, because what you really want is for her to be healthy again so that she can continue to meet your needs. But dumping megadoses of vitamins down somebody else's throat is not medically sound.
And people who want a quick fix, to get people back to work, might have motivation to push cures on people, but they aren't the ones to live with the side-effects. And when the "remedy" has either failed the person or made him or her sicker, then it becomes the fault of the inferm, for not trying hard enough or being willing to "help herself" ....
Sorry but I am very cynical about any cure for this COVID stuff, and pushing quackery, in order to make it seem like there is a solution, is insidious and dangerous.
