dsp, on his day off, saying every other streamer is a charity except him because he makes a profit, what happened to the -$35?

he's stuck between trying to flex and trying to pretend he's poor for bankruptcy, flexing on twitter scrubs is priority though

He's missed the insult (whether willfully or because he's dumb is unclear). DSP complains about things being "slow" all the time and more frequently of late, so he would be one of the "charities".

he's also playing semantics, the guy doesn't mean the beggars are the legal definition of a charity

it's a metaphor phil but you gottem with your text book definition, debunked

He's no charity he's more on the level of a subway monkey shaking his tiny monkey cup for quarters.

This reminds me of when he tried to tug on people's heartstrings during his Warzone stream about the "financial stresses" he was suffering from having to buy Animal Crossing and Doom Eternal, and how he was an emotional zombie until a paypig broke the tips goal. If you try to confront him on why he needs money so badly, he pulls out his tiny violin and goes on and on about why his life is so hard, particularly with "muh bills" and "muh bankruptcy."
The problem with living in a bubble is that you don't realize that you're not the only person with bills to pay. How much has he complained about the Corona Virus even though it's barely even affected his lifestyle? Instead of "I hope people are safe out there", we hear about "I won't be able to celebrate my birthday week properly because of what's going on!"
Endless sympathy for the pig, none for everyone else. Fuck out of here with "My streams aren't a charity because I say 'tip' instead of 'donate'!".

just a friendly reminder that there were millions of children all across the world who played morrowind without the internet, without guides, and without advice

that is all

This is something about DSP that baffles me. He's definitely got worse recently, but you look at his old play throughs and his first instinct seems to always be to ask "How do I do this?" to the stream audience. It's like he doesn't have an ounce of desire to even attempt to figure out the most basic things.

I really need to know if MrPapavera genuinely thinks Phil has learned anything about Minecraft. I've never played Minecraft in my life and even I know more about the game than Phil. I'd love for MrPapavera to ask Phil to do some basic stuff on his own, without any guidance, and everyone could see how much DSP has been taught. MrPapavera is preventing Phil from figuring out how to play the game if anything. If no one did everything for him, maybe he would actually try and figure things out.

So what board would DSP be? Is he a closeted /pol/, a /leftypol/, /v/, or some dumbass /biz/ kid?

DSP seems to be a fairly right wing person himself most of the time (didn't he even celebrate Trump winning on election night?) but not /pol/ right. His fans seem to run /pol/ though, for some reason. How many other chats have multiple race realism spam unironically on Twitch?

this specific viewpoint is probably because he has been watching a cam-less youtuber play, and the guy with a bigger following than him is on a harder difficulty and having more fun and making more $$ than dsp on journalist mode

I'm still convinced the youtuber is ChristopherOdd which is hilarious if DSP not only sees no difference between himself and ChristopherOdd, but actually thinks he's better than him. But what's funniest of all: To re-up on The Last of Us' story, Phil is watching the YouTuber that Kat watches over him. He's taking notes from the dude Kat view-cucks him for.

Slight powerlevel but I have moderated a friend's Twitch stream before, and people spamming race realism is not uncommon. Most of the time it's people just trying to get a reaction from the streamer, though.

I remember once he described his parents as ‘the only members of one of the two political parties’ in Bridgeport, thinking he was being coy but obviously referring to them being Republicans. His political positions in the context of US politics are mostly of the ‘basic bitch’ variety, he thought Bu$h was stupid, and he has held onto every prejudice he ever came across.

But in terms of ideology, he is pure petty-bourgeois. The petty (or petite) bourgeoisie want desperately to be part of the ruling class (the bourgeoisie, i.e. CEOs and the like), but this amounts to a grandiose fantasy. Their reality is much more modest, they own struggling shops, or are insecure tradesmen, unbacked by a guild, say. The petty-bourgeois is terrified of being ‘proletarianized,’ sent down to live among the vast majority of workers, and he is historically the social base of fascism.

Dark definitely falls into the category of middle class/ upper- middle class individuals who believe that their social status and “hard work” merits the good fortune they’ve fallen into. Explains why he’s so intent on not losing his house as it’s the one material achievement that Phil has earned in his life which demonstrates the modicum level of success he’s been able to attain in his mediocre, uneventful life. The one object to demonstrates that he’s better than you (that’s how petty he is... a house in suburbia has become his entire raison d’etre).

His attitude towards his “11 year legacy” explains a lot of Dark’s smugness and why he fundamentally believes he is owed a lifestyle of modest luxury and comfort. He made it while others did not and therefore genuinely believes he should be allowed to live based on his internal standards: in excess and with unlimited funds to accommodate his lifestyle.

That’s why Phil is so repugnant to me. He embodies everything that is wrong with our system: rewarding those that least deserve it. Of course, the system is to blame ultimately as it enables people like Dark but it’s easier to point at his existence and not support what DSP stands for.

And even that he doesn't truly own. Philip has been raking in cash for over a decade, and all he has to show for it are a bunch of action figures, if that isn't sad I don't know what is.

I honestly think you have it completely wrong and all of this is just projection

Phil doesn't believe a word of what he says first of all, the only reason he keeps harping on about his legacy is as a defence mechanism. He knows he's a failure but has to keep the act up to protect his ego, it in a way also to keep his hard core fans because of his pignosis technique requires this us VS the world mentality.

He also doesn't have unlimited funds, in fact, he's got less disposable income than a high school kid working weekends at burger King, due to his insane amount of debt.

It's actually really sad that the only spending this guy who makes 120k a year is a weekly grocery run and take away taco bell lol. Oh, aside from his gambling addiction to wrahstlin gacha I guess.

What is disturbing though is his complete lack of shame when it comes to exporting the mentally ill and handicapped of their lunch money. That's a better reason to despise him.

Time for a wall of text because it has been awhile and I need to chime in on some of this bullshit. I'll break it up with spoilers.

I will start with the global pandemic and Phil's dumb advice, shit jokes and comments on Covid-19. At first it was just the flu to him because he wasn't affected by it until he saw the panic buying first hand he started to then complain and joke about how dumb people were for doing this up to the point where he couldn't get what he wanted then the bitching came.
It is the perfect example of how closed in his world is. He doesn't give a shit until it hits his wallet look at his bitching about having to use a food delivery service in the last few days. This guy would eat out 3 times on his day out because it was easy, he is too lazy to cook food that his wife could pick up from work but doesn't for some reason even if it is cheaper than eating out.

He has upped the begging and has even went full THOT because his fan base tossed money at him over the vest and cowboy hat if I was half a mil in the hole I would try anything that works and run it into the ground too. Yet he has stated that it is a reward for his fans for hitting his tips goals I thought the reward was the fact that he could keep making his amazing content that he makes and views as equal or even superior to other content he has been watching with Khet on YouTube. Why he brings this up to his chat, I have no clue except to drum up more tips from his fans who will pat him on the back he loves it when they stroke his ego. In the end he will only be know as the guy who rubbed one out on a YouTube stream. What a legacy to have after the show ends

Tomorrow after months of pretending that nothing has been going behind the scenes and that all of his money issues have disappeared much like a certain 2k cat has disappeared from his streams. The time has finally came for Phil to face the music for being awful with his money and making poor life choices. Even if his Pig Roach luck holds out somehow he would be right back in the same spot in just a few short years.

Thanks for letting me ramble on after a long night at work. As a side note with tomorrow's phone call I have a friendly reminder to not pozload my neghole just do what I do grab an adult beverage some good weed and choice snacks and get ready to laugh your ass off. Wash your hands, don't lick an bunch of deodorant and post it on social media, and stay safe.

I think Phil totally believes what he says about his legacy. He's a narcissist who believes he's a streaming pioneer. He repeats it not because he doesn't believe it but because no one ELSE believes it.

On the second point you're both right---he did have unlimited funds, in the sense that he was making a lot of money with no family to support, but he overspent and borrowed to the point that he fucked that all up. Any kind of logical money management and he'd be fine now.

In summary, DSP is a guy who only cares about money but is so bad with money that he no longer has no money.
