Who would have thought muh land of the gun, home of the bloated military spending USA would have less teeth that our fucking small defensive army, low criminality, peaceful nannystate.

Because we don't send MP out on the street like they do in South America and Euroland armed like they are going to war, we have civilian law enforcement for a reason.

We have average cops who are armed with enough weaponry to take down most criminals. SWAT teams are as close to MP's in other countries and the National Guard is as good or better than most countries standing armies. Then there's our Armed Services which, god help us all, will never be deployed locally. We American's love our guns but we don't want our cops to be fucking judge dredd here. That way leads to Socialism.

The cops don't want to die, they are civilians after all, and can't be everywhere at once (budget constraints done at the local/state level), and since it's fucking Ohio which is the equivalent of any dirthole 2nd world nation (Let's go with Portugal here), the savages will end up killing each other just for giggles and the cops won't let the contagion spread beyond the inner city or projects.

Contrast that with New York City where the governor has called in the National Guard and you see armored personal carriers on streets straight out of a movie. Each state is handling this crisis differently and that's both the beauty and downfall of our State vs. Federal goverments.

I think some of the age discrepancies might go like: Young adults without children vs young adults with young families. Then you have the ones spending more time in the workforce as higher levels, middle management who has to be there, someone supporting a few teens/college kids vs. those who are likely to have the kids gone and resources available able to cut a certain amount of contact and still make it.

Did you read the article where it is admitted these were random tests they bought from random Chinks? Of course not. As the Czech health minister pointed out, these tests bought from ChinkyChinaman1234 on AliBaba do at least work in some circumstances- unlike, for example, what Trump's CDC produced.

You realize the poor and rich, generally speaking, will have completely different reactions to "serous symptoms", right?
The rich person will have the insurance to immediately take action when their symptoms get worse and call up the doctors; The poor can't afford the 3000$ testing bill, to say nothing about how much getting Aid at the hospital would cost them, and will just suffer in silence at their houses.

NYC has a 311 page and when I was browsing it yesterday there was a bit about signing up for food delivery if you couldn't go out to get food. I signed up and got an email stating I would get 4 boxes meant to last 2 days. Someone came to deliver the boxes today in a bag. He did practice social distancing so there's that.

In spain it's mostly "we had too much of this so fuck it", for instance the Tomatina. You know the day where we throw tomatoes at each other. Yeah so basically one year they had too mant tomatoes and couldn't sell them, so someone thought "snowball fight", and it stuck. Same with eating 12 grapes during new years.
