Can some medical person, or anybody, please enlighten, as to how this will work, and for what purpose?

Here we have a military ship, supposedly coming to the rescue in a time of crisis, that does not take COVID, Labor and Delivery, postpartum or anything pediatric.

Instead they are there to house people who need "ongoing hospital treatment." And incoming people will be screened for COVID.

Given the scarcity of tests, how do they intend to screen against COVID?

And what kind of people, except for those who are moribund, or soon to be, are lingering about, on a hospital bed? So it mainly serves to protect the dying, from the inevitable?

So what purpose does this serve?

Basically the ship does nothing for children who catch it and need an ICU. It does nothing to quarantine medically fragile newborns who occupy the NICU. This crew who is supposedly highly trained for combat fatalities is serving what purpose?

I am deeply disappointed.

I'll add the fact that anyone who dares to say COVID-19 or Corona on YouTube finds their video buried or deleted. We really need an alternative to YouTube to take off.

Also, I find Daisey Cousens absurdly hot.

Because there are more injuries in a metroplex than pregnancies, newborns, and Chink-Flu patients.

They're experienced at serious battlefield trauma, which corresponds with auto accidents, gunshot wounds, and other patients that would use up beds to recover.

You don't want peds or pregnant women on a military hospital ship. The extreme close contact as well as the environmental hazards are really bad for newborns.

And the ship isn't designed for children. Do your really think that you should have fucking CHILDREN on a naval ship full of sick people.

Fucking think for a second.

A ruptured appendix means you're in the hospital for 72 hours.

I have been told that Miss Lilly's fanbase is primarily based on her bathing naked, rather than any outdoor skills.

I assume she remains fully tracksuited throughout this video?

lol last time I watched her stuff she was wearing a swimsuit so it's probably not true.
Her videos are alright and she's cute so that's why people watch her. You can only bear so much of old doomers showing off their gun collection and larping as Max Rockatansky.

Just completed a short shopping tour.

Still seeing many more people out and about. Saw a person sitting on a park bench. People walking, alone or with family/friends, jogging.

First stop - Walmart. Fair supply of water. Amazingly, got a 24-pack of Dasani water, which wife and stepdaughter like. I almost never drink bottled water. Good supplies of tard cum, bread, eggs. Didn't have what I needed. In the ice cream/frozen dessert area, largely empty shelves. My favorite Outshine bars were out of stock. Walmart is the only place I can buy them.

Second stop - local Filipino/Indian market. Had what I needed. Also got a few bananas. Seemed to have plenty of stuff.

Observations - for the foreseeable future, one cannot take for granted that any one store will have everything you want. So be prepared. Keep your eyes open. Take some extra money, perhaps drive instead of walk.

Haven't seen so many people on the street walking since last Thursday. In my opinion, it won't be long until people just start blowing off the "shelter-in-place" stuff entirely. Personally, hasn't affected me, since once the walk is done I stay home, just go out for shopping or medical appointments. Am sure it has affected others, though.
I went out too, there was huge line at the supermarket I usually go to so I checked out the smaller Dominican one and there was no line. They were well stocked except they were out of bananas and oranges. They had strawberries so I grabbed a pint, my bacon and I was good to go.

People are already blowing off this forced confinement. Who can blame them since Wilhelm the idiot mayor expects you eat pig slop and starve so he can go on TV and scream about Trump while he and his hideous wife embezzle that sweet disaster aid money. Fuck them both.

People still get sick and need treatment for illness/medical conditions other than bat flu. It's intended to support hospital space and medical personnel so they can focus on the treating coronavirus patients. Whether it works as intended is another issue.

Well the news broadcast said that they were offloading people from area hospitals.

Most children staying in a hospital are not running around. In fact kids in ongoing treatment are stuck at Children's Hospital on beds and what are they going to do when pediatric COVID complications come rolling in?

So basically they get a gunshot wound in Beverly hills, and travel all the way to San Pedro?

Or do they pull the bullets out of the guy, potentially contaminating him with COVID in the ER, and then drive him or airlift him to San Pedro to recover?

Sorry, I am uninformed about this, I requested responses, and thank you for your reply.

I got that about freeing up hospital beds. What I don't get, is how they can keep COVID out, especially since it is possible to have been exposed to COVID and be shot by some shit-ass gangbanger.

Peru got 13 more days.

There's been a scandal here because our government has bought Chinese tests that only say if you GOT it, not if you HAVE IT (I don't know if those are the same that Czech Rep. and Spain say are not good and give a lot of false positives and negatives). One doctor gave the alert and because he's a right winger, he's been shunned and even was subtly asked by the president to keep it quiet and be more "cooperative". Meanwhile, an "it's just the flu!" doctor is lauded as a hero for defending the tests, even though he's using fancier words to say exactly the same as the other doctor.

I'm gonna be objective and s ay they're using these tests to know the exact amount of people who were asymptomatic while using the more effective to find new cases (we're getting those too). I'm not gonna say much about it until we know. But it's very pathetic to see the population to praise our president for doing what he's supposed to be doing, the same guy who wasted a lot of money in two useless elections in the past two years.

Anyway, the big reason we're getting more days it's because it's obviously not yet controlled, but also because there are regions where people don't give a shit about the quarantine and curfew. In the city where I live, I'm sure those people aren't infected nor are close to anyone who could be (as most cases are located in very specific districts), but in other regions, the number of cases increased quickly because people didn't mind. The president was so mad he is now calling all the army backups and sending them there to use force if they have to because it's a very poor region and if things go bad there, it's gonna be a complete catastrophe with thousands dead.

The family here is fine, btw. Bored but fine. The older kid was in a terrible mood but he's feeling better now.

Speaking of kids, I wanna say that all people complaining about how bad things are, I get it, but young people are probably losing a full year of their lives and they are completely innocent on everything and it's not fair, not at all even though they will likely recover much better than we old farts could. Fucking commies.

Well my mom said it was for quick and easy burial at sea, and you could also get rid of troublemakers that way. Just shove 'em off the starboard bow.

I need to make sure someone else has my medical power of attorney now.

Dude you're supposed to drink the Kool-Aid not do a swan dive into it.

Speaking on the hospital ships, I always wondered why the United States didn't repurpose some of the decommissioned aircraft carrier hulls as medical ships. I used to talk to a group of WWII vets and they were the ones who originally planted the idea in my head. It seems kind of logical, if a bit expensive. But we already have these huge hulls laying around, packed with technology, a landing strip, and fucking nuclear reactors... not to mention they already have sizable hospital suites installed by default.

Maybe you don't retrofit all of them, but you could definitely make a couple more floating hospitals to send around to help out domestically or even internationally. The Nimitz class carriers that are being phased out for the Ford class carriers actually have more beds as it is.

Also a fun aside because this dude was badass. I used to get breakfast with the old timers down at the local diner on Saturday mornings. The one guy, a nice fellow named Lloyd, was an honest to God paramarine. That dude saw some shit. Have not seen him in a few years, though there is a slim chance he may still be alive. But even at the age of 92 when I last saw him, the man still walked without a cane and was as sharp as a tack. I taught him how to use a digital video camera and the guy recorded his photo albums and gave commentary. He never stopped learning and becoming better. Dunno what they put in the water during his training but it must have been the good stuff.

Bathing naked as opposed to bathing clothed?

Gamers Nexus found a way around that early on. He calls it the human malware.

Yeah, see how that would work ... sink them in the Port of LA. 🤣
