It's the selfish bastards who keep a running total of their kind deeds to look at and complain about how they were nice all these times and got nothing out of it. People who are actually kind do too many kind deeds to keep track of, and why would you anyway, because being kind is routine to them, and it would be like keeping track of every time you used the toilet.
Not true, you can do those things. You do technically have to give up your other nationalities if you become a full adult Japanese citizen, not that Luke would mind giving up his Fourth Reich passport.
He saw it for what it was initially after the surgery, but blamed it on the swelling. By the time the swelling had gone down he convinced himself it worked. I seriously doubt he was able to tell the difference between the swollen version of his face he was horrified by and how it looks in his current state due to his face-blindness.
His screwy face comes from the same place as his assholery: his childish sense of entitlement. He literally thinks he deserves everything he wants, right now. Even if it’s not possible, even if it’s not practical, even if literally the entire world gets screwed over in the process. All that matters is his own desires. His messy face is the world saying, “Sorry, we can’t turn you into Anime Amy Lee, no matter how much you ‘need’ or ‘deserve’ it.”
