By which I mean made sure certain personal is in charge of helping haul and protect the gear) the PSOE had to stop fucking Puerta del Mar over and the PP tried to do so and were promptly turned around realizing the kind of mess it'd trigger if they stole from us. So, this morning a PYME donated some masks and we got away with keeping them. I swear if we didn't have to spend so much time and effort defending ourselves from our own politicians Spain would've already become the world leader. As it stands I'm glad we're not. Can't trust those fucktards with regional shit I dread to think the mess they'd make if we were at the top.

On other good news the European Commision has had to recognize it's time to throw 8 of our public institutes european money as they have a lot of promising results on possible treatments, cures and diagnostic tools for corona. Including monoclonal antibodies which if they work could be a definite cure. This is actually promising for real, the EC doesn't give spain money unless they see real result, they hate giving money to countries outside of feance/germany/holland.

1. Get surplus gas mask, they are obtainable and cheap - even the expired or asbestos filled filter is better than nothing or paper/cloth mask. Asbestos filter may cause you some problems in 50 years time, chinese airborne aids is guaranteed to fuck you now.

I've done a lot (or subcontracted out) of asbestos removal. It was part of my business portfolio during the crack head 80's when schools in my region had mandatory asbestos removal. I would rather see people in 3M style automotive masks you use to to avoid the particulate matter from spray painting/powder coating than buying out old masks.

But even with a mask it does not prevent you from getting the virus all together as it also a contact virus. It will be on your clothing, which is why you see Darwin in action.

The mask can be a placebo for many, but without proper cleaning methods the chances of getting infected are dramatically increased.

The Corona Virus is:

1. This virus can be airborne and can survive hours on end and travel across great distances.
2. This virus can be transferred through vapor droplets up to 6+ feet away.
3. This virus can survive up to 5 days on a very smooth surface and a lot longer on a rough surface.
4. This virus can be transmitted through Urine.
5. This virus can be transmitted though fecal matter.
6. This virus can be transferred via contact. Example. Handshaking, bumping into each other.

This is why the virus is so infectious. This also explains why sudden hot spots begin where there were no usual way of spreading the disease. EXAMPLE: It was reported that the virus was in China's currency. A great way to spread a contagion.

NOTE this is what you are supposed to do during cold/flu
To deal with a virus.

1. Wash your hands with a BAR of Soap. It's cheaper and lasts longer in the long run than liquid soap.
2. Daily wipe down all of your contact surfaces such as door knobs and handles with disinfectant.
3. Separate your clothing. One for outside and one for inside. Place in different hampers and disinfect daily -or- wash daily. Have a designated area for your outside clothing and shoes. Disinfect your shoes.
4. Shower Daily.
5. Change your bedding weekly.
6. Cotton or throw away rubber gloves are to be used.
7. TAKE VITAMINS!.
8. Drink plenty of liquids
9. Eat right and eat at home. Which means that the fast food joint is not your friend.
10. AVOID large crowds.



If you have the virus/illness. To make things easier on your life...

A mild case you should.

1. Tamaflu or some variation of it.
2. Stay warm.
3. Hepa filter air cleaner where you are bed ridden.
4. Shower daily.
5. Some sort of expectorant
6. Take your vitamins
7. Drink plenty of fluids.
8. REST.
9. Stay indoors
10. Change your bedding daily if possible.
11. Wash your hands.
12. Wipe down areas with disinfectant where you grab on to something.

What you are trying to do is to remove/reduce as much of the virus that is on you/around your person. Rest and eating right will help you recover quickly than not and of course contact your doctor for instruction.

This should help regardless because you know we are still in cold & flu season. Just the suggestions I use to avoid getting real sick during cold/flu season. Seems to work for me. It should work for you.

I ventured outside of my führerbunker here in germany to buy some groceries today and was happy to find that all was in stock (this is a supermarket in the middle of a big city) and the shelves were being full again. Even toilet paper was plentiful! I noticed that some foodstuffs that get packaged by machinery had the food quite haphazardly thrown in. My random and subjective opinion is that they were running their processing at crazy speed to satisfy the sudden hole in supply. It was kind of disconcerting to see all these panicked people and the empty shelves, so seing that was nice. Even the online food retailers have stuff in stock again. I guess my government was absolutely honest for once when they said that this hamstering is stupid and there's plenty of food.

While walking I also saw several people with masks and also people talking to each other but standing several meters away from each other. That also was good to see.

In less good news, lead singer of iconic band Rammstein Till Lindemann has the Wuflu and is in intensive care. EDIT: For people catching up on this thread, he didn't and is already doing better. Just use google.

To add to that notion:

Filters degrade and break down over time, that means that old asbestos-filters will become insanely hazardous, once the fibres become loose and the membrane that keeps them inside becomes broken. In WW1, filters used 80% asbestos and a lot of people, that used them during the war, would die in the 20s. Even Soviet made filters with a lot less asbestos are an issue, since production quality of them is sketchy at best, so they might have less asbestos, but you can't trust that it would stay where it should, even when they were new. 30+ years later, and these fibres are going to be a huge problem.
And just to add some more fun to all this: Old Soviet-era filters are often painted with lead paint. It's not safe to handle them, it is outright moronic to use them.

Assuming you are a healthy guy between 20 and 55, any issue you can get from catching the WuFlu is far less severe, than what you will get when you use such an old filter with asbestos fibres being directly injected into your lungs with every breath. It will not take 50 years and it is not worth the risk.
Corona is not "just the flu bro", sure. But unless you are 70+ years old or have a severe sickness that makes you more vulnerable to Corona, using such a filter is -without the least bit of exaggeration- a level or retardation, that makes Chris look like Einstein.

Corona is not Super-Ebola-Aids. It is nasty and it has killed (and will continue to kill) many people. However, assuming you are a healthy person, your chance of Corona going bad are about 20%, your chance of getting severely sick are like 5% and your chance of death is lower still. So I'm at the point at which I've gotten confirmation from pretty much everyone in my contacts list and the contacts lists of my contacts list's contacts that spain is at that point at which everything's now reinforced as can be. Campaign hospitals are up and running everywhere, the production is ramping up to the point our industry can reliably do more than the virus so long as there isn't some other megaoutbreak (which at this point is impossible because all megacities have had theirs), it's still fairly chaotic and we have no fucking tests, and we still don't have enough ventilators for a real outbreak, but everything's under relative control, and our institutes as the news said seem to now be on top of this.

Under regular circumstances I'd say "so long as our politicians don't really, actively fuck it up, the worst has past and we'll be fine." You know, issue is, last time I said that the PSOE confiscated all our masks, the PP confiscated our ventilator and the Medical Investigators sent people sick with Corona to work. So... I dare say we can expect only the worst. Whatever comes though, in the end, as always, the planet will break before the guard does.

They are throwing money at everything. even at the Cargocultists in Spain... new quick and antibody tests are already close to production.
the problem is getting enough snot from potential patients. Germany makes 200k PCR tests a week and could make 200k additional Roche-Tests a day if needed, but getting the 200k a week is already hard because of the safety regulations for getting the snot from people.
