While the world struggles with mitigation and containment of Corona-chan, North Korea has more or less been a black hole of information. From what little we know, Rocket Man is up to his usual antics throwing things in the ocean while claiming his little slice of Bernie Paradise is COVID-free.

A few weeks ago, North Korea decided to build a hospital in an effort to be 'proactive.' Their glorious supreme leader said the task was 'urgent' to combat their whopping 0 infections. They claim instead it's just to commemorate the founding of their nation.

While still denying any presence of COVID-19 in their country, their troops are allegedly dropping like flies to the virus, which doesn't bode well for them since their population is overwhelmingly malnourished and underfed.

1. The cases in the areas surrounding the NK/China border have recorded very low numbers.
2. They've already successfully (surprisingly) been able to contain other outbreaks of things bought in by the Chinese. It's easy to force social distancing and people to stay at home when you rule with a spiked iron fist.
3. They were actually ahead of the US in tightening down on the Virus. Sort of shocking I know.
4. This flex of missile muscle comes at a time when China is threatening everyone - especially Taiwan - in the South China Sea. The NK missile shit is likely due to China putting its boot on NK's neck.
5. Whilst it's likely that it IS in NK (North Korea has admitted it), people are guessing it will be much easier to control in NK. If you get it bam. Bullets for you.
6. Conversely, there's been a reduction in military presence at the DMZ. People are split as to whether that's because of C19 killing officers or because they're deployed elsewhere. Both is likely.

SK has kept its economy going and its infection rates low for a reason : the yellow menaces to the North are more of a threat than CoronaVirus.
This is why people in the west need to understand that yeah sure, getting C19 down is important, but this is an economic war, not a Viral one and that a) you can get the rates down and b) you don't cut off the economy to do it, you need that money in case China does anymore stupid shit, c) you need to never, ever spend money in China again. They need to be economically razed. SK is doing all of this for a reason. So is Taiwan. It's vital people pay attention to that.

North Korea is getting hundreds of thousands of dollars from the World Health Organization to prevent an outbreak of coronavirus.

Looks like N. Korea is getting some WHO-bux to combat the coronovirus, which the country allegedly does not have. It doesn't say that Kim will accept the help, and considering they turned down help from the US according to a leaked conversation with Pres. Trump, he's likely weighing his options.

N. Korea's borders are locked pretty tight, according to this article, even going as far as cutting back state-sponsored smuggling via the northern border with China. This combined with crippling sanctions and an overtly strict quarantine and social distancing program, I wonder how they'll fare economically during the pandemic (assuming they truly do have no infections).

I've been wondering about DPRK and whether or not they've been Corona channed.

I'm guessing that the number of cases is either negligible due to most of its citizens being subject to social distancing from the rest of the world for the last 7 decades, or the highest per capita rate in the world as a result of all that sweet undisinfected contraband sneaking its way across the Chinese and SK borders.

Suffice to say that we'll probably never know the real answer, because the Dear Leader has already cured it. By "cure" I mean "converted a spare gulag into a WuFlu leper colony and started the process of shovelling the bodies of the non-survivors into mass graves".
