Even if he apologizes he think that everybody will let it slide because, eh, after all he is the one and only voice of Goku, there was noone before him.

He's replaceable, he's the dubber so he has far less protection from getting replaced that the VA's from the country of a cartoon or anime's origin. Being an asshole puts him in even greater risk.

Too much wholesome 🤮🌈

I watched it several times and the dumbass smile on my face just got bigger every loop.

I think <1% of anime fans would notice if he got replaced as Goku, he knows as much and it's the reason he's clinging to his most notable role.

Honestly, I'd say fuck his apologizes, he's too bitch made to be a man and accept peoples anger at him. It would be outright insulting to get such an inserere apology from Sean, because it would just make him think he's off the hook.
It makes my skin crawl knowing that some of our favorite characters in our youth were voiced by bitches like Schemmel and Sabat. And you damn right he's replaceable. Outside of Goku and Lucario, what else has he done? At least Sabat worked on Yu Yu Hakusho, Fruits Basket and Fullmetal Alchemist.

You want more skin-crawling and true ruination? Just imagine if it were to turn out that Sandy Fox, Barbara Goodson, and/or Lia Sargent have been absolute cunts all along.

Honestly he's a fuckin crybaby loser but I don't hate Sean so much. I mean hell, even Vic appreciated that Sean was always upfront about how much he disliked him. Sean's an asshole, but at least he isn't trying to pull all sorts of sneaky backstabbing shit.

Some dubbers actually become irreplaceable in the eyes of the public, but most of the time it happens because of how charismatic they are and their presence outside of the dub, like conventions or fan interaction, that is why Vic is still getting invites and still atracting huge numbers.

In Mexico this is very noticeable, again, DB Kai was a complete failure, mostly because of censorship and not using the original cast.

The Netflix re... something of Saint Seiya had the main character replaced because the actor died, the trailer had more dislikes that the English version and half the comments were of people complaining about the replacement for Seiya not being good enough.

The guy who plays James in Pokemon has been the same guy all the time in Mexico if he was replaced without a good reason you can bet your ass people would make a big deal out of that.

Dub actors can become irreplaceable, but it's up to the actor to get that status, Schemmel doesn't have the personality to capitalize on his Goku Voice and become iconic, he is way too subdued and irritable to do it.

BUT I WAS A SHITTY HOMELESS STREET MUSICIAN WAAAHHHH DBZ SAVED MUH LIIIIIFFFEEEE I ALMOST OVERSOSED HAHA FUCKING FAGGY FAGGOTS.

Honestly I predict he'll go insane when he's older.

And that is why he's replaceable, Vic had to tell people to chill with Johnny and Johnny not giving a fuck about the haters is why he's accepted as Broly. But look at the US, they have little respect towards a VA reprising their roles, yes there are people that would be unhappy with Anyone other than Peter Cullen as Optimus or Masako Nozawa as Goku.

There are arguments for and against VA's being replaceable but it's all up the VA to captialise it like you've said.

Christ, this is the most wholesome and sweetest thing I've ever seen on this website. Watching that made me smile like an idiot.

Something this sweet shouldn't even be allowed on KF, honestly.

He played Batman in a mobile game & Carnage in a pinball game. There's also a role in 97' Berserk which even got a reference in the dub bloopers.

I actually prefer the ocean dub voice. It could be the direction, too, but the ocean dub actor seems to be more into the moment while the Sean/Funimation Dub, it feels more like a guy ripping off lines as a job.

Something my friend pointed out to me today. This entire situation has been going on for over a year now and in that time, funimation didn't pick up any of the shows that generated a lot of attention. Outside of MHA none of their dubs have generated any attention.
Isn’t that dubs in general and the breaks of the industry? I mean, anime is a niche , and the big dubs that get the fandom really going only seem to happen every few years and is pretty random from what I’ve seen. Before MHA, it was Sword Art Online, and before that it was Attack on Titan. It feels like dubs are really hit and miss in terms of getting popular.
