As I've stated before, this pandemic is sadly going to have messy solutions, one way or another. We need to slow down the spread of the virus, but we can't just shut down our country to the point of no return for economic recovery (because that would lead to a lot of people dying, too).

It's all about the best timing to stop the quarantines. That time is obviously not now, but it can't drag out for months on end. If anything, Trump wanting to be over and done with this pretty much squashes any TDS argument about him wanting to be a dictator.

And the reason why people like Don Lemon don't want Trump to have these pressers is because they actually benefit Trump's reelection. He's on TV every single day, and he gets high ratings every single day. His approval rating has benefited from it, too.
