Guess it took one disaster to stop another.
considering how they were gonna show off star field after years of embarrassing announcements like Fallout 76 and paids mods, it probably was a good thing just to give them a clean slate

I can't imagine Starfield actually turning out good. It's taking too long and they have too many incompetent people working there.

yes but something even slightly competent would be better then anything bethesda is dealing with that is not made by ID software
Todd can't tell sweet little lies if he doesn't get the chance to
Todd is busy self quarantining

Bethesda like Blizzard has let too many of their experienced people go.

After Skyrim they should have used that money to make or invest in a new engine but they chose the laziest option. They also spent a ton of resources making Bethesda net which has fallen flat on it's face,

ID has kept most of it's core people around in some form(i.e. consulting) and that's even after a bankruptcy. I mean it really shows that they still know how to make a Doom game.

Why would Bethesda even have a show in the first place? Id and MG put out games recently, Arkane got relegated to a support studio, and Bethesda itself isn't putting out a game for at least a couple years.

There's always a upcoming ESO content patch I guess, but it's not worth putting the money into having a press conference for what a dev diary is overkill for.

My guess is, they're going to try and show new Elder Scrolls stuff and a new Mobile Game.

They're still heavily tarnished from Fallout 76 so they need goodwill and also money because Blades didn't do as hot as they expected.

Blades could have been a good game. I would have rather paid an upfront price of $30. It was ok but it’s biggest drag was the “waiting... the god damn waiting..”

Plus I realized they upped the difficulty back in February because guessing people were just toughing it out and doing dungeon repeats till the player finally had enough power to complete the next main quest.

Bottom line: it’s just more P2W garbage. Apparently Bethesda hasn’t learned from the 2018 blizzcon shitshow.

Gotta admire their stubbornness through it all.

There is a cascade effect of cancellations and delays going on here. Star field is launching on next gen systems possibly as early as November. But now everything is in flux and honestly I don’t think Sony and Microsoft are certain their systems are coming in November.

I don’t think Beth want to announce their shiny new game when chances are it will be be pushed to 2021 anyways.
