The above image is my 12-month rolling average of Phil's Twitch earnings. The fitted line assumes asymptotic behavior (and has a $0 point that's not shown). Currently, the fitting predicts that Phil's asymptote is around $8200 from Twitch. Basically, that's the best he can hope to get on average from his Twitch right now. I think the data bears it out. His "good months" rely on having one or more begathons to get more money squeezed out.

Common trait among cult leaders. They use the word "we" to make the victims feel more involved in the outcomes although DSP is the only one getting any tangible rewards.

It's also why he keeps ranting about detractors: create an us vs. them scenario and then the victims pay DSP so that "we" win and "they" (the detractors) lose.

He has done stuff like this before calling streams "slow" or calling his chat not very interactive. It is a classic call and response gimmick and right now his "fans" are eating it up, just like his retrospect events and boring marathons he will try to shove this vest streak down his viewer's throats until they get sick of it. When that happens he will change his tone and start calling it a troll meme. As for the we he is talking about it is directed to his viewers he always does this when he hits a goal he wants to feel a sense of community with his viewers even if to him it is only about ass pats and getting their money.

Adding on to the "we" thing, if DSP stopped using the royal we altogether it might snap some of his paypigs back into reality and make them realize not only does the begging only benefit DSP (dur) but also none of that money will ever be put back into the "business" in order to benefit the viewers' experience even as a knock-on effect of his begging.

The fake "we" is as deep as his relationship with his viewers will ever go, and it only exists so nobody realizes the complete lack of relationship to begin with.

My highlights of the stream was him responding to someone saying “how am I making the game boring? I didn’t create the game, I can’t make it boring. The game is just boring *snake laugh”

So Mr talent with 11 years of content creating experience can’t make a boring game entertaining....but he also isn’t at fault for when a games boring. I thought this dude was an artist and games were his paint or canvas or whatever? He apparently can’t improve a blank canvas, but it’s also not his fault if the artwork comes out looking like trash.

He also said watching YouTube videos is something he and his wife like doing together. I thought that site was toxic and full of drama click bait morons? I guess he found the only other hanest Kantent creator on the site

same thing happened with persona 5, physical copies were out early but anyone who pre-ordered a digital copy had to wait for the official release date

My family recipe is a Traditional Family Recipe.
And they put sugar in their pasta sauce.

When I make my sauce, I put very little!
I put about a third, to a quarter, of a cup of sugar.
Just for a little bit of sweetness.
But the original recipe my mom gave me, which was her family recipe.
Was like, A CUP OF SUGAR!
And I did this once ever!
And it was WAAAY TOO SWEET!
I was like,
'Dude! This has too much fucking sugar in it!'
I don't understand why they put that much.
So, I put way less!
But, apparently, that's part of Ita--
Authentic Italian sauce, is putting sugar in the sauce.
I know that sounds weird, that sounds weird to me too.

The above image is my 12-month rolling average of Phil's Twitch earnings. The fitted line assumes asymptotic behavior (and has a $0 point that's not shown). Currently, the fitting predicts that Phil's asymptote is around $8200 from Twitch. Basically, that's the best he can hope to get on average from his Twitch right now. I think the data bears it out. His "good months" rely on having one or more begathons to get more money squeezed out.

If he's plateau'd like this doesn't it usually (for a business) mean its likely he stops increasing and eventually declines?

No growth is negative growth, that kind of thing. We all know Phil's career is on perpetual life support since his viewer numhers never go up, but it seems nonsustainable due to his lack of sub/viewer growth for him to stay where he is.

Despite being whales, his whales only have so much money.

His business is extremely profitable...if you don't give him the money. He would need a significant downturn in income to be a failure. The life support is becuase of his debts and spending, NOT his income.

His business is actually massively profitable. Almost all money that comes in is nothing but profit......Oh I forgot about the $5000 a month business expenses.

I'd like to post my gratitude for @actually and their tireless efforts in tracking Phil's income, because their work is going to be of great interest to me for the next few months. We're entering the first full month of stay-at-home orders for much of the world and I'm legitimately excited to see whether Phil's support will begin to measurably wane. People sending him money when things are a little tight is nothing new but we are entering a period of prolonged unemployment and product scarcity that many of his fans have never seen before. Tracking Phil's support will be instrumental in determining just how far his wheelchairs will go to keep him afloat.

Love the comments he made about gran blue fantasy, it’s clear he never intended to go back to the game. He kept whining that he would love to play more, but he can’t fit it in his autistic schedule. Now his schedule opened up, but since he hasn’t played for 2.5 weeks, it’s been too long to be a relevant player in the multiplayer. Awww such a shame, guess he can never play it again.
