After the lawsuit Monica and Jamie are out. Every company fires employees or "contractors" from pr nightmares, might be hard for sabat due to his studio and his friendship with Gen unless sabat gets metooed. It's up ty's responses and how the appeals court rules so we can get into discovery, which discovery will probably be what could ruin Funimation and depositions from huber.
Honestly, it depends on how the appeals go for Vic and whether or not Sony gets involved.
If Vic wins on the appeals or we get another round of discovery, Sabat could be in major trouble and at the risk of sounding autistic, I think he's pretty much the mastermind behind this entire KV smear campaign.
Chris Sabat pretty much is a predatory sex pest who's definitely guilty of sexual harassment at the least and at the most, is running a casting couch at Funimation, but he's got a lot of undue influence over the company.
Personally, I think Vic was thrown under the bus because someone got too close to the truth about Sabat and they needed a distraction. There's also the possibility of Monica and Marchi being actively complicit in Sabat's casting couch, and not just in a quid pro quo sort of way.
I wouldn't put it past a landwhale creep like Monica Rial to have done some shady things with some of the younger male voice actors trying to get work with the company.
Taking down Vic creates a diversion and also eliminates the competition for Sabat.
If Monica and Jamie are fired by Funimation under the current regime, then they'll probably take Sabat down with them. Especially if the appeals go well for Vic beforehand, since at that point they will have nothing to lose.
The only way Funimation will fire Monica and Jamie in a way that doesn't completely destroy the company and take Sabat down with them is if Sony steps in during the lawsuit and fires all of the old regime so they can settle with Vic and avoid any further negative publicity.
At that point, Funimation as we currently know it would cease to exist and the new Funimation would have a different management, assuming they don't just merge it with Aniplex in that kind of a situation.
I doubt Vic would get his job back if Sony stepped in, but I could see them offering him a cash settlement and a public apology/retraction if he agreed to drop the case and settle out of court.
If Vic wins on appeal or Sony settles out of court with a public apology, Vic might be able to get work with Viz and Sentai, but it's still unlikely.
With COVID-19 throwing everything out of whack across the entire country, who knows how this is going to play out by the end of it?
