how does it have over a million tweets?

This guy is the bassist of one of my favorite 80s thrash/punk/shock bands so to see how he's gone full TDS is really sad.

These are just from the last day or so. He's been at this since the election. He's mentally stuck during the age of the moral majority and the PMRC, which was founded largely in response to songs like his band's "Golden Shower."

Really makes you think the fundies were right... These guys are fucking retarded.

Really makes you think the fundies were right... These guys are fucking exceptional.

The funniest thing he's done recently was he had some big anti-nazi profile picture last summer and tried to align himself with ANTIFA. The band was doing a mini tour and wanted to play in Portland. He got pissy when the other members wanted to call it the "Anti-ANTIFA Tour" because he was trying to shill for them because he's totally a liberal anti-drumpf good guy.

That is, until ANTIFA started sending him death threats and got all their Portland shows canceled and called him a fascist nazi. Suddenly he was fine with the tour name.

Also he wrote and sang on this lame ass Trump song:

Their whole latest album, their first in years, is just complete shit.

I been lurking the SD.net forums for a while, even signing up to see the more "members only" threads, so if this says that it's hidden to guests, and that it can only be seen by users, then I apologize.

https://bbs.stardestroyer.net/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=169529 (Thread is titled: "Expert on genocide warns that the US under Trump is showing many warning signs of impending genocide.", with the people posting largely agreeing with the headline)

The stardestroyer.net forums (which, to be noted, was started by the Canadian Asian Michael Wong, and has a sizeable portion of Canadian members) has become full of TDS in the days since the 2016 election, with people like The Romulan Republic, the user who started that thread, becoming paragons of TDS in Current Year, as his signature would show. Mike Wong even had a falling out with Curtis Saxton because Saxton didn't like multiculturalism and wasn't really pro-migrant, along with similar cases of "full-blown denial of reality" (read: rather basic-level baste opinions, bigotry, and boomerisms)*.

I find this all pretty strange, since the SD.net people used to be against moral crusaders, even the proto-SJWs that nonsensically claimed that Jar-Jar Binks was somehow meant to be a racist caricature of Asians.

"You pick the people who are going to die because you only sent 400 ventilators."-Governor Andrew Cuomo to "President" Donald Trump.

"I know its easy to be defeatist here because nothing has seemingly reigned Trump in so far. But I will say this: every asshole succeeds until finally, they don't. Again, 18 months before he resigned, Nixon had a sky-high approval rating of 67%. Harvey Weinstein was winning Oscars until one day, he definitely wasn't."-John Oliver

Ocasio Cortez 2028!

I SUPPORT A NATIONAL GENERAL STRIKE IF TRUMP REFUSES TO LEAVE OFFICE.

I don't fully understand what caused so many people who supposedly understood the nitty-gritty of realpolitik and media unreliability to become politically subliterate headline/talking point regurgitators in the span of a few months to November 2016, and then further onward.

I guess nobody is really immune to propaganda, especially when it (ostensibly) confirms their already preexisting biases.

*the fact that I can say that unironically either says something about me, something about the internet as a whole, or both. The talk on SD.net about Saxton's takes being wholly abominable and reprehensible and completely insane looks like hysterical hyperbole to me, especially since I can see much worse right on this very forum, let alone the rest of the internet.

As always, it boils down to entryism.

You accept a social liberal because they seem harmless, then you start getting more, then they start forming cliques and excluding people they don't like from the community.

No organization or group is immune.

That place fell apart years over a decade ago. I can't believe there is anyone still using it.

I'm seeing some rising drama on r/canada (great place to see some hot takes) on Trump apparently re-routing medical supplies to the US when they were heading towards other countries. I have no idea how legitimate the news is, but there's a big collection of TDS comments going on in the thread.
r/Canada thread:
Original article (It's in Baguette language)
Someone on reddit did post their own translations but some fluent kiwi might want to do a check for accuracy.
