The thing is though that Doug doesn't simply want an out. He wants to live out his dream of being a big Hollywood director or some shit along those lines. The real nightmare is that he's realized that that's not going to happen.

While the failure of things like Demo Reel probably made him realize the road would not be as easy as he thought it would be, he likely was still delusional afterwards and thought he could make it. The entire CTC drama is what finally made him begin to realize once and for all that his dreams aren't going to be coming true the way he hoped they were.

He's ultimately going to have to either continue making the Nostalgia Critic, something he doesn't want to do, or leave it all behind and go back to doing a shitty job. Which is something else that he doesn't want to do. Those are his two career options, and they likely have zero chance of getting any better.

Yeah, but it most likely just that, especially if you consider the fact, that she wants Walkers and Michaud homeless and penniless for things, that regular employees experience all the time and probably don't even remember. Also, don't think Brad wouldn't say that she just can't get what she wants, there is information, that his recollection of events with Jake can be interpreted in a way, that shows him in completely different light.

When he retired the Critic like 10 years ago, he was running on fumes, I have no clue what he has been doing these past 5 years, given that he must have run out of "nostalgic" movies a long time ago. I guess his focus on what is "nostalgic" shifts, to accomodate a certein demographic. If it's old enough that 16-20 year olds remember it from their childhood, it's gonna end up in his videos.

So yeah, him being ramshackled to behave like an autistic baboon on Youtube for the rest of his life is way more funny than anything Lupa wishes on him.

Official version - Brad had a girlfriend, that cheated on him with Jake and when confronted, she suggested to change things into polygamy, which he declined and told both of them to fuck off from his life.

Not official version - Brad had a girlfriend, they broke up and she went for Jake, Brad couldn't let go, so he's seen it as betrayal, so he distanced from them both and then one day drunkenly spewed official version on the internet.

From what I remember of it (I never care for Brad's stuff, so someone can correct me here), Jake basically "stole" a girl Brad was interested in seeing and it led to Brad kicking him out of Team Snob, which was his group of friends that did videos with him.

Also, what would he get out of it? She has nothing, which is why she's constantly bitching to try and get attention.
