I don't think there will be enough time. After this Chinese Coronavirus thing is over, for all intents and purposes it's straight to general election mode.

Everyone in the House is up for reelection and a third of the Senate. They have their own races to worry about. They don't want to be stuck in Washington instead of being out campaigning. It's one thing to vote to advance impeachment when the collateral damage is to someone else's presidential campaign. It's a whole other thing to vote to damage your own congressional campaign.

I think it's cute he thinks they'll still have the House after November. The first impeachment probably cost them a chance at the second.

Enthusiasm will be so low on the Dem side after Trump is done with Biden I'm hard pressed to see how they'll keep it with him at the top of the ticket.
