The article reeks of "I'm the 9th most influential disabled person in Britain, I have an MBE for services to young people with disabilities and in 2019 I became a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts for my commitment to disability rights." I don't know...if she's a munchie, I guess she's using her munchie powers for good...? Sort of?

Yep, and it's embarrassing me to be a mod there right now. I've complained about the blogging in the past but I am outnumbered. Most of the bloggers aren't even regular participants - they come in just to tell their special story then fuck off when they get the asspats.

Came across something really funny COVID related now you mention it. Came across this one a long time ago but never bothered timelining her or anything. Long story short on her is that she has a rabbit YouTube channel called rabbits101.
But also a second YouTube haleyslifethroughalens is her chronic illness vlog channel. She claims the combo (recently dx in October with EDS but claimed POTS since 2017, Tourettes, ADHD, OCD. Parents have bought her two houses in all this mess cause she’s so disabled she cant work. They live in another state and she frequently makes them come back when she fakes an emergency.

anyway basically she’s been ramping up some non essential ER trips lately and doctor appointments during a freaking pandemic and realised she was stupid in the waiting room. I had a good laugh reading this.

I love IFGW but I am going to second this . It isn't little blurbs sharing a funny anecdotal story ,giving a little tmi or saying something in a way that indicates people know why someone is full of shit . It is full on blogging taking advantage of the relaxed rules and good mods .

It is really fascinating that it is almost exclusively people with EDS who do this and don't seem to understand they don't sound any different from people featured on IFGW . At first I thought it was people joking and making fun of someone else for blogging but there are entire threads in posts of several members blogging about how they have it worse than anyone else or blogging about how they have never blogged.

Alas, no but the blogging has got out of hand with them all talking about their personal lives that I am sure more will expose themselves. Few users, especially ones from here are getting pretty tired off it. But it’s the most active munchie hunting ground since this thread kind of died a lil.

But then they cannot help but to tell us their tragic life stories trying to make themselves sound like they are nothing like the munchies while still collecting asspats for their brave struggle, and in the process they out themselves as being just as bad if not worse. Just like how everyone in the furry threads isn't like those cringey furries we post about; they're just in it for the art and the creativity. And transtrenders are constantly accusing other transtrenders of being transtrenders but they're always real trans. It's all petty catty bullshit from people who mistake a fetish or a diagnosis for a personality.

Yeah, I've been responding to bloggers in other posts and legit, I have never seen any of these usernames participating before. I'm sure a lot of them are people on quarantine with too much free time and nothing to do, who wander in and start talking about themselves. Scrolling through their histories they either have never participated before or only participated to blog and dole out asspats to other bloggers.

We've been getting that here too albeit to a much lesser extent since reddit is way more accessible than this glorious viper's nest. Pop over to the chantal thread and witness how many people come in to brag about how they were once her size but after seeing her they're losing weight and they're down a whopping 22 pounds and that makes them so much better than her. Chantal eats dumpster candy, drinks gravy, and regularly shits herself. That's not a particularly high bar.
