This was known a while ago, is there any new information? Like, did the terms change due to all this shit going down? Or is it still speculation? And if it is, what is it based on?

Not really any new information. We just know that at some point:
1. Moving trucks took furniture from Funimations Flower Mound campus (Source: Kiwi Farms)
2. Nick claims that there were a lot of lay-offs at Funimation. ANN tried to pretend that it was "only 8 artists." It was a lot more.

Most of the jobs on Indeed are for the Culver City CA campus. Take that how you will.

It sounds like it is more than "we are sharing content for streaming."

Apparently,Sentai and other studios won't hire him anymore. Guess he didn't even mention FS, because he's most likely not even aware of them using his name to promote their "show".

This sucks. Vic is a genuinely great actor who puts a lot of effort and passion into his work. He loves his work, unlike many other actors. It's not fair that he'd lose his career in voice acting, meanwhile someone like Marchi, who is an embarrassingly bad actress who treats her fans like shit, gets to stay in the industry.

It's unfortunate that this person got a pass for so long simply because they were "supporting Vic". Emosh asked some very simple questions about Vic's involvement in their supposed series. They mostly made excuses and then abruptly announced that Fantasy Soft Entertainment may be closing soon because they don't want to be accused of having lied about everything.

Wow. I'm honestly surprised at how long it took to crack the Fantasy Soft mystery. I wanted to hold out hope that they were a legitimate company and the only one to stand with Vic, but they were really just a sham, piggybacking off the Vic controversy. And it seems even Emmett the Perjurer Plant summed them up pretty nicely. This makes me sick.

Which is why people should really just go independent and not really go into the entertainment industry. From what I have learned from every part of that industry is that people are assholes and criminals to each other, literally destroying each other just to get by and ruining people for a quick buck.

These people act like they've never left middle school and are always in cliques, waiting to literally ruin someone just because they either inconvenience these assholes or become more successful than they could even imagine.

This may be a huge wake-up call for any aspiring artists/ actors who would even think of entering into the den of vipers.

I sorta predicted that no one would want to work with Vic win or lose. Even if he wins by some miracle, he'll just be seen as that butthurt weirdo who destroyed a company and its employees reputations just to save his own. No one wants a VA whose very fanbase will start a year long war if wronged, and company suffers permanent damage regardless of results. It's how corrupt hives like cartoon voice acting works.

As I explained elsewhere, I think the merger is punishment for the Audio leaks. Nothing that KickVic has done makes sense unless it was going to be long term.

Who would risk a lawsuit costing hundreds of thousands of dollars just to avoid working with a guy for 9 months?

(Yes, a particularly spiteful group of people might do that but Monica made at best 30k a year. Ron made decent money but that could all disappear in an economic downturn. This is a significant gamble they took here.)

And I don't know a lot about the anime industry but it seems like Aniplex was the red headed step child to the Chad Funimation. And there weren't any rumors circulating of a merger? Funimation has Dragonball so by all accounts anyone looking in would think they were the most talented group to run a new venture.

Now Aniplex is in charge while Funimation gets mashed together with another two companies.

I don't think the merger was planned. At least not the way things actually happened.

Some darker possibilities

If you assume Vic being rooted in CA gives him advantages in surviving the merger, it makes him getting a permanent career boost more possible. Socially, he's got a sort of home court advantage in that some people already know him and aren't going to just accept bullshit claims as easily.

If you move to CA and you don't like Vic, would a Sabat stand by and let him uproot and move to TX only to have to uproot and move back to CA? Sabat could have been jerking Vic around for its own ends.

Or would you like to see Vic stuck in TX while you move to CA, now Vic is (a) out of your hair for a while (b) at a career disadvantage while you cement yourselves (socially and career-wise) into the new company at CA.

I guess what I'm saying if that we assume moving to TX was the trigger for the bullshit. What if pulling Vic out to TX was part of the bullshit. The only reason I'm thinking this is we have this idea Sabat has a lot of abnormal pull in Funi including their HR practices but Vic got this sweet promotion gig which would have required Sabat to consent or at least not to object.

Who knows. They did have a smart grift with the Vic situation, since they got to use KV outrage and ISWV spergs to get free PR. It's too bad they're scummy as hell and claim Vic actually supported them.

The funniest part is they claim to be a Christian company making Christian media when they're posting images of a half naked guy with a bulge in his pants. Reminds me of how 15-20 years ago bands like Creed claimed to be "Christian rock" to get into that market while having nothing to do with Christianity.

Overly optimistic, but if the tweet is accurate, he's only RIP "for now". As of this point Vic has still lost his case, and I guess most people won't touch him with a ten foot pole because muh optikz if and only if he has a favorable appeal. Hell, probably not until he has a favorable trial or settlement, and I'm guessing a trial wouldn't happen until mid 2021 if Meyer v. Waid is anything to go by.

Will laugh my ass off if Vic, Jamie, Monica, and Ron are unhirable after this (in their respective jobs) and Funimation gets the big dick slap from Sony, but Vic will be the best off because he took their money.

They didn't actually get any money from their $800,000 Indiegogo. Sorry for the misunderstanding. They didn't reach their goal, so they never got the $1,192 that people had pledged. They have been taking money on Patreon and PayPal though. It should be noted that a Prince Adventures light novel and comic was made, so it wasn't a complete scam.

They were hyping the anime series and name dropping voice actors on Patreon, however.

The only way this guy can clear his name is to come clean, admit there is no anime or anything that would lead to one besides his dream, that the majority of his projects similarly do not exist or are vaporware, clarify his relationship with Vic, and apologize for misleading people.

He's also pretty shit at scamming too. One guy looks into his claims and he freaks out and says he's closing down everything. Not "oh, the anime was cancelled a while back, we ran into unexpected production problems/coronavirus/whatever and forgot to update, here's our new projects" to keep stringing people along.
