Christ, those comments. This is what happens when you raise a generation that never experienced a hardship of losing at something. They can't fathom the idea of the good fight, that you can do all you can and lose but it doesn't reflect negatively on you though."Fighting" the virus is deeply offensive! Naturally it's a Labour MP vomiting this drivel onto the internet.

“Please can all politicians stop talking about the PM having a lot of fight in him. I wish him well. But as one who has had cancer I can tell you this suggestion that disease respects those with “fight” is deeply offensive. It implies that those who lose are somehow to blame.”twitter.com

Its uhhhhh.... a corner store apparently? Must be an urban slang word because I have never heard it before.
Economists predict that the destruction of over half of the world's trade, death of tens of thousands in the west, mass lockdowns and job destruction on an unprecedented level will have a considerable negative effect on the economy. No shit Sherlock!
Also: go Trump, WHO needs purging!
Can confirm. Not just with the people I personally know, but also hearing anecdotal stuff from other folks I know who know other elderly people who have survived it.
Also: the fuck is a bodega? Bodega in older spanish just meant food warehouse and nowadays its used for wine cellars and wine sellers. It's driving me insane to see the word used in english because the context means it cannot be the same meaning.
Or because there’s a lot of black people in big cities, which are powder kegs for disease as is. Detroit’s already had people whinge about this, Atlanta probably isn’t far behind, and the county in AL with the most confirmed case by far is its biggest city and is like 50% African American. Would they cry racism if a plague carried by cow feces hit Mumbai?Breaking news: CoViD-19 is racist. They finally did it.
"70% of deaths from coronavirus in Louisiana are black people"
"6x the amount of whites"
Maybe this is because of their lifestyle? Hell no, it must be blatant racism right here, folks.
oh and regarding America's "unhealthy Carb Heavy" Farms. You might want to think about that. The vast wheat and cornfields of the American Heartland are largely what gives your local farmers the luxury of growing fruit. Healthy Fruit is an incredibly inefficient use of resources when trying to feed people. Wheat or corn generate more food per square meter and lower water use than Fruit or Soft Vegetables. The American Farmers generate enough food to prevent famines. The Fruit Growers generate healthy "nice to haves"
A bodega is a small corner, typically family run, Grocery Store/Delicatessen most often found in New York City. or other larger older American Cities They tend to be among the first businesses opened by whatever the given "latest immigrant group" is. So they tend to have a certain "ethnic charm" (ie. questionable cleanliness and a high degree of surliness of shopkeepers). They are in many ways the fore runners of the Gas Station Mini Mart. I'm not sure where the name Bodega entered the American vernacular for them. But it probably comes from either the Italian or Puerto Rican populations in NYC.

I want to see all of the magically restored roads out of the city.I wonder if we will get any images from these parties. Or did the CCP simply have Wuhan turn all the lights on while they dusted off the camera...
We also have wheat and Corn farms over here, specially in the castilles, more than enough that we never really needed imports. You'd be surprised just how efficient fruit and veg farms can get. And also just how much excess of wheat and corn you're producing. 'Cause reason we have so many farms over here is we had to be self sufficient cuz the allies cut all trade with franco and afterwards we basically became europe's farm, but you mofos have been feeding china, most of africa and central europe with carbs since long before that, if you devote even half of the farms you use for exports to change production for healthy shit it'd be more than enough to keep murica well fed and healthy. And as for the ones that'll loose a lotta imports? Fuck 'em. America first and all that.
This... is not the future Robot Jox promised me.DOITDOITDOIT
No one can coof on you if you're in a robot.
About this optimistic "herd immunity".
More and more research points to the fact that people who recovered from WuFlu have low or non-existent antibodies.
https://www.newsweek.com/covid-19-r...s-antibodies-found-recovered-patients-1496776
In addition there were multiple reports of possible reinfection. I know the scientists reporting it were Chinese, but if I remember correctly there was also report from South Korea.
I don't want to sound like a doomer, but I'm not sure what to think about it...
@EmuWarsVeteran your updates from Spain have been incredible. It's so hard to get accurate information out of there, even market reports are turning out to be skewed. We've been sending back to work the healthcare personnel that recovered from covid here in spain and so far we have not even one reinfection despite the fact that most, including me that one time, are doing shit that would be near suicidal if they weren't immunized because with the PPE shortage it feels wrong to waste it on inmune people. Of course people whose immune systems are garbage to begin with won't be immunized so who knows how Chinese people end up. But in the west you got nothing to fear. We'd have confirmation from Spain if it reinfected.
You're going to hear about celebrities, business leaders and others talking about donations to groups providing relief from the virus.Looks like only states that went blue in 2016 are getting those sweet sweet California ventilators...

Mike Graham, trashy UK Talkradio shock jock tore up the Guardian on-air, realizing that the best way to stay credible as a media source is to go after media sources even more loathsome than yourself

Kaye Hoey, very sensible Euroskeptic ex-Labour MP, seems a bit taken aback by this. Yes, the Guardian is trash, but this Graham is obviously only interested in the "Mike Graham rips up his copy of The Guardian | 08-Apr-20" Youtube title. He's almost as much of a cunt as those Guardian cunts and he's a-logging them to try to distract us from this.
Mike Graham is actually MORE of a piece of shit. Lest any dislikers of the Guardian and its Lefty-Progressive politics think "enemy of my enemy" sort of thing, let me just say that Mike Graham is the oxygen-thief who ragged on the victims of the Rotherham rape gangs. And said it was their fault for their lifestyle and that their parents were all drunk down the pub and equally to blame. Quick reminder: those victims were as young as 11 and parents were literally burnt to death by the rape gangs for trying to protect their kids.
FEMA's being strange. They're grabbing mask shipments from hospitals without any real communication. I can't think of a good reason for this since its being reported happening everywhere in the US. I mean, unless its gerrymandering. Or euthanizing. Maybe both?
WASHINGTON — In Massachusetts, state leaders said they had confirmed a vast order of personal protective equipment for their health workers; then the Trump administration took control of the shipments.
In Kentucky, the head of a hospital system told members of Congress that his broker had pulled out of an agreement to deliver four shipments of desperately needed medical gear after the supplies were commandeered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency
Gov. Jared Polis of Colorado thought his state had secured 500 ventilators before they were “swept up by FEMA.”.
Filters cannot prevent spread of viruses
According to Van Dijk, whose company did not supply the HVAC system for this ship by the way, ‘fresh air is supplied on a cruise ship by several air handling units. The ducts connected to the air handling units provide the public areas and cabins with fresh air. Within these units, air passes through multiple filters, at least EU4 pleated filters.’ EU4 filters belong to the category of coarse dust filters with an over ninety per cent arrestance.
‘Optionally, these units are equipped with a HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter and/or UV light units to treat polluted air further,’ adds Van Dijk. These filters do not stop viruses from spreading however.
Van Dijk explains: ‘The filtered air that enters a cabin is filtered again in a fan coil unit, but these filters are made to fight bacteria, not viruses. Viruses are so small, that you would need a very strong filter. When you need such a strong filter, your supply air capacity has to be so big that the air handling units are possibly four times as big. This means that the energy consumption and emissions will be many times higher.’ Not something that is desirable for a cruise ship, as these ships already have a name for being polluters and are working hard to lower their environmental footprint.
The system on board the Diamond Princess was supplied by MCI Namirei. In a statement, Diamond Princess’ owner Princess Cruises said ‘the HVAC filtration system on our ships is comparable to those used by land-based hotels, resorts and casinos.’ This probably means this system will also not be able to filter out viruses.
Air routing makes spreading through HVAC unlikely
However, Van Dijk points out the chance of a virus spreading through the HVAC system is still very small. This has to do with the way the air travels. He has drawn the overview below, which shows that, although not impossible, it is unlikely for a virus to travel from cabin A to cabin B.
‘In addition, COVID-19 is expected to spread like flu does,’ says Van Dijk. ‘And flu hardly spreads through air ducts, but through contact and moisture drops (coughing/sneezing). This is unavoidable on a ship with 2000 passengers.’ The CDC has expressed similar findings and has emphasised that staying in a cabin and limiting contact with other people are still the best ways to minimise exposure.
